This Otters wooden puzzle is fun and really cute. The quality and finish of the wood is well done. I love the bright colors and different animal shapes. My kids enjoy solving the puzzel and creating their own patterns with the shapes. There is an answer sheet with how to solve the puzzle and other suggested designs. The pieces do not stay in the wooden tray, so I had to put them in a bag for storage. Something to note: there's a seller label on the toy that may be considered inappropriate and makes the toy ungiftable in some situations. The lable says, "Shindel" with devil horns and tail as seen in my photo.

I love the colors! It’s so thin and light! The pieces make a lovely clacking sound when they move; like you’re accomplishing something XD They really do feel smooth and nice. I didn’t feel I needed to worry about splinters because they were so smooth.It looks like it would be super difficult, but then I solved it within the time it takes to put all the pieces in and change six (less than five minutes). It’s not a frustrating puzzle. As you can see from my photo, there’s numerous ways to solve it and an answer is also printed on the paper that comes with it. It’s also fun to play with the colors and combine them that way. After you’re done trying all the possibilities, you can even make a cute pendant with the pink heart-shaped squirrel piece :)I wish it came with a case or pouch or something. It’s shrink wrapped and doesn’t fit into a gallon sized Z*plock bag.Much enjoyment! Much recommend!

ThreeYearOld is just learning how fitting together different shapes lets you fill in the base. He thinks the animals are cute and likes to arrange them in the wooden base. The colors are in a bright pastel range and are very engaging. The animal pieces are smooth and well painted.I wish that it had come with a bag to keep all the pieces together but we're using a zipper top plastic bag and so far it's working well.

I chose this toy because the animal shapes are so cute.The pieces and paint are good quality, although they’re a little thin.The frame is also thin and lightweight. It would have been nice if there was a cover or if the pieces were magnetic so it could be used while traveling. I find it very relaxing to fit all the pieces into the board and there are many possibilities. There is also a sheet of paper shows some free form designs that can be made with the pieces. Given the price point, I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to my friends.

This is a really great open-ended puzzle toy for kids (and adults) who like to tinker with things and just see what they can do and what they can make. I myself am like this as well as a couple of our kids. We've really enjoyed playing with this and the pieces can also be used for counting, pattern making, and color matching. The little animal shapes are cute and the colors are fun. All the pieces feel well made and I don't think any will break with regular use. The pieces are thinner than some other puzzles we've had, but as long as the pieces aren't left anywhere that they might get walked on or otherwise crushed, they'll be fine.

This puzzle is great because there are so many ways to use it, and because almost everyone in the family from toddlers to adults can enjoy it. You can find lots of ways to fit all the pieces into the rectangular wooden base, build shapes out of the various pieces, stack them, or just play with them.The entire thing is made of wood, and each piece is roughly shaped like an animal. It was fun deciding which animal each piece represented; some are easier to figure out than others. The entire thing is brightly colored and well made.

My nieces are in the midst of a move so I sent this little puzzle to them! They are 2, 4, and 6. They all found a different way to play with this puzzle. The oldest made her own little shapes and images, the middle put it on like the puzzle shows, and the youngest just sorted by color. (And, their mom said it's "very satisfying to clean up," haha.) Would make a great gift for any family willing to keep track of the small parts!
