My laptop is about 10 years old, and its built-in Wi-Fi is… well, let's just say it's seen better days. This UGREEN Bluetooth 5.4 adapter has been a lifesaver. For my use, it was completely plug and play – no complicated setup required. It's given me a much more reliable Wi-Fi connection. Beyond that, I've also found it incredibly useful for expanding my Bluetooth coverage. I have a PC in my living room connected to my TV, and the motherboard's built-in Bluetooth wasn't cutting it for my controller. This adapter solved that problem perfectly. So, whether you're dealing with an aging laptop or just need better Bluetooth range, this UGREEN adapter is a great solution.

I bought a pair of Sony 1000-XM5 headphones and wanted to connect them to my work computer which does not have built-in Bluetooth. I tried a simple Insignia dongle purchased at BestBuy, but it did not work, as it never “saw” the headphones for pairing. However, this dongle worked like a charm: it was plug-and-play. No hassle. No need for I.T. to mess around with drivers, etc.

Has horrible latency. Using a dualsense over ds4windows and it was telling me i have 30ms and its definitely noticeable. Was previously using an asus 5.0 adapter before this which got under 10ms but would intermittently have interference issues which i was hoping this would alleviate due to the antenna and it being bluetooth 5.4. Ended up just getting a usb extension cord and ran the Asus 5.0 dongle closer to my desk because before it was plugged into backside of my computer which is on the floor and rather far away. Its been working like a charm, get that one instead, and if you have connection issues just do what i did and run it closer to you.

A Windows update tanked my PC's Bluetooth 4 months ago, and I've been through every possible hoop in terms of downloading, installing, uninstalling, rolling back drivers, reading help forums and generally screaming into the void. I balked at the idea of spending money to replace a perfectly functional piece of hardware, but it just got to be too cumbersome to use wired-everything in my work. I had a 7 pm meeting today, this little adapter arrived in my mailbox at 6:58 and by 7:02 I was back to using my wireless mouse and earbuds and in the meeting. It is literally the easiest experience I've had: plugged it in and suddenly my system had Bluetooth again. That's worth the price alone.No information on range or other technical stats as of yet, but it meets my needs so far. I'll update if it should fall short.

Weirdly, this item arrived slightly wet. It was in a box with other items, which wasn't wet. Other items in the box were also dry and had not leaked, including the wadded up paper packaging, but the box that had this item in it was decidedly moist--the box soaked through, the instructions wet, and the item itself had water on the plastic wrapping, a bit of which had penetrated to the actual device.I wiped it off, let it dry, plugged it in, and it appears to work fine, but there apparently is a leaky roof or a box of bluetooth dongles left out in the weather between the manufacturer and Amazon packing it up.I got this so I could listen to music/videos and walk completely around the house. I just experimented a bit and it looks good for that purpose. I don't know how long it was wet or if that will have any effect in the long run, but it looks to be OK. Still, makes me a little leery, so -1 star for that. If it breaks, I'll revisit.

Solved my connection problem with my controllers.

Has really decent range, if you need to simply transfer files or listen to just music this is a fine buy for the price.But... the latency varies between 0.5sec and 1sec. Enough to make it noticeable when using something like a mouse or keyboard, or watching videos leaves audio sounding detached.I downloaded the drivers and installed them just in case it was the source of the latency issue but it didn't help, spent a day troubleshooting different options to reduce or relieve the latency but no to avail sadly.Can't recommend it for anything other than File Transfer/Music/connecting to other BT devices.

I added this adapter to my main gaming rig after the internal bluetooth / wifi card died. It not only work flawlessly, but it also adds a decent amount of range to my Bluetooth reception. Sometimes I stream music from my PC to an Anker speaker and now I can move the speaker anywhere in the house without it dropping the signal. I may actually buy another one to have as a backup because two is one and one is none.
