EPIC BOOM WALL MOUNT FOR LIGHTS, CAMRA, MICS: A DIY HACK FOR A MOBILE MONOPOD ON 4 WHEELSI’ve been shooting professional photography for ten years and working in event marketing and production for 15 years.I bought a new condo and created a YouTube studio.I’ve been looking for A CREATIVE MOUNT that won’t break the bank and looks great at the same time.Other REVIEWS state this is a game changer and takes your CONTENT CREATION to a new level, even if you own a tattoo studio perfect for YouTube.The overall construction is phenomenal; it is high-quality material heavy with a brushed black look to the pole, which is always a nice touch with photography.Matte black always works in any situation, still looks great over time, and cleans up well; this is over chrome or stainless steel lighting system, which is also common.I’m pleased about that day: Included is a 1/4-half-inch screw & 3/8 that can be flipped upside down depending on what type of lights you have.Use carbon fiber to create a supplemental boom pole to add 2-4 feet for a boom mic or overhead light.People would also be pleased to use this as a mobile Monopod stand.I opened the box, set it on the ground, and stood upright at a 15 to 30° angle.My first thought was to mount a 2 x 2 on a board and add sandbags to the ground to support a boom mic or a light.You want to create a specific angle because that’s one of the hidden gems of a wall boom; you have another pivot point, which makes a whole new dimension for lighting or positioning a boom.MOUNT this onto a 2 x 2 or 1 x 1 piece of steel heavy enough to be on the ground where you don’t need sandbags.A creative counterweight system!Add castor wheels for a quick mobile boom mic!Four-inch castors are for weighty objects; 3 inches is an excellent medium.Purchase the 4 inches because vs. 3 inches because they can be repurposed for other projects.This will be a game-changer with a mobile monopod hack.One of the biggest challenges I’ve ever had with lighting or shooting any podcast is that once you set up the tripods, you can’t change them around unless they have wheels.That creates a whole new challenge with the stability of the tripod.Once I construct it, I will post a picture and a review of how I did it and the materials I used.Overall, I’m incredibly impressed with this boom-in wall mount.I’m excited about buying two more to create a three-light system with higher lights, especially with the overall build construction, which is phenomenal for the price point.A DIY PRO-GRADE MONO BOOM MIC FOR A FRACTION OF THE COST!You’ll not find a better-constructed boom wall mount, especially with the 160° flexible rotation arm.They include five screws with the counter system. You’ll be placed in a wall or concrete; they look acceptable for the application. The ITOTIN Wall Mount Triangle Boom Arm arrived in sensible packaging and included the boom arm itself, screws and fasteners, and a mounting kit.This swing arm is marvelous for what it is - offering a complete range of motion in three dimensions - about 160 degrees of swivel L and R and U and D…making coverage virtually complete. Your softbox, light, or even a lens assembly will do well on this sturdy, tough, swing arm.I find the price point really rather generous - to hang a $400 soft box off a cheaply made swinger would be a disaster. This one is not that - it is well made, will last for years, and is versatile. In those senses this offers superb value for money against its price at acquisition.Rating : 5 stars! I love this adjustable wall mount boom arm it clamps my video gear tighter than a big ol’ bear hug after one too many moonshine shots by the crick. As an amateur Youtube cowboy constantly fumbling with makeshift tripods and questionable contraptions trying to film stable overhead product demos and TikToks, having reliable mounted equipment is more essential than keeping boots on when horse wrangling. But glory be - with just a few screws I’ve got this retractable arm locked down more steadfast than foundation pylons at the ranch house and extended smooth as molasses gliding my film set up perfectly into frame every time without jostles! When I first opened this box, something literally flew out. I have no idea what it was, but I think it was a lock nut. The hardware to attach this awesome light stand to your wall was just thrown loosely inside the box. 2 of the wall anchors (at least I think that is what they are) were smashed. After I emptied out the box and took a look and everything that was there (there are no instructions included), I noticed I was missing a washer and a lock nut. OK, so maybe that is what flew out. Then I was walking down my sidewalk and I saw a washer. So a washer had fallen out of the box when the delivery driver was bringing the box to my door! I checked all around but I still haven't been able to locate the lock nut. Well, outside of the lack of instructions and the lack of care with the mounting hardware, the wall stand is actually pretty nice. It is very easy to use, you simple twist the lock and can move the arm up or down or swing it around. Exactly as it should work, and I plan on using it to mount a video light in a fixed location. But it's a real shame they didn't invest in a tiny ziplock bag for the mounting hardware as I seriously find that lack of care unacceptable, and like I said, I am still missing something, straight out of the box.
