This really helps keep my van cool when it’s 103 outside. Of course I have air conditioner running but I didn’t have to fight the heat in the back seat.

I ordered too short, so it didn't end up covering the entire window. I didn't want to mess it up around my portable ac unit exhaust, but it does block light and immediately I can notice it's a touch cooler in my living room. the adhesive stickers do not stay though, and it's in danger of falling until I can get more velcro strips. Debating if I want to buy another sheet or try to return this for a different oneUpdate: the seller reached out to offer me a refund without needing to return the item. Adding another star for their quick customer service. I'll still need heavier velcro, but I'll order another sheet to cover the rest of my window

Purchased to cover an opening in the wall and keep out foul smells and reduce humidity. It works great.

My house gets direct sunlight in the afternoon. I use it to partially cover the windows to reflect the heat. It’s been effective to reduce air conditioning.

It really helps, the room doesn't get so hot

I have a south-facing garage and the desert sun is brutal. The garage heats up so much in the summer that it's like walking into a blast furnace. My low-tech solution was to cut up large sections of cardboard to block the windows for even slight relief. The cardboard was better than nothing, but it looked awful from the outside.When I saw this insulation, I hoped it might be an upgrade to the cardboard, even if it didn't work. I was happy to find that it DOES work, and it looks nice from the outside, too. Even though the surface is silver and reflective, it is textured and looks so much better than sticking aluminum foil over the windows.The insulation was easy to cut to size. I was able to press it into place behind the window edges, so I did not use the included adhesive hook-and-loop fasteners. Just in case the insulation didn't stay in the window when the door was opened, I put the cardboard back up, too. I needn't have worried, though, because all eight pieces stayed put.I had enough insulation left over to cut another set in case I need to add a second layer during the height of summer. It is very lightweight so even a second layer is not going to add pounds to the door and stress the opener. I am very happy I found this insulation.

I'm using this in my garage and it was easy to install. It's very thin and easy to cut/trim to customize for your space. It has a fairly reflective surface and does help insulate from the summer sun when placed over windows. I would recommend for small insulation projects.

I bought this thinking the back would peel off like contact paper to stick to the surface. Instead, I was sent a sheet of these cheap little adhesive dots. So, I ended up having a place an order for double-sided tape. So, take the bargain price for this item and add on $6 for double-sided tape and you have a better true cost.
