Works as advertised communication is fast and reliable

I Dint have any of the issues people describe with bluetooth connections... i was able to pair this with my Microsoft Surface Book in under 30 seconds and get to work... If the instructions for the software i had were better i would have gve it 5 stars... but thats really Forscans fault (but was recomended on product page) I was able to enable my trailer brake controller and save a $150 visit to dealership. (plus the hassle)

I saw the bad reviews but decided to gamble anyway since this was the only dongle I could find at this price point that had both bluetooth and a switch. Here are some tips to get it working:- The switch needs to be in the HS-CAN position when first connecting. It's not labeled, but that's flipped towards the front (the side with the LEDs).- Plug it in firmly. I had to push on this one harder than on my other OBD dongle.- Turn your vehicle's ignition to "on", which is generally the third position out of four. Using only "accessory" mode (the second position) isn't enough.- You might have to wait 10+ seconds for the it to show up in the bluetooth paring menu. It'll be shown as "OBD II".- The bluetooth pairing code/PIN is 1234.

I have owned several bluetooth code readers and this one just doesn't work. The other 2 I gave away to friends and they still work just fine. I bought this for the ms/hs can switch and it did work at first but now will not connect to my phone or laptop. I may have just got a bad one, but I wouldn't recommend this one.

Works great but needs to have switch labeled. If this is not showing up on bluetooth try flipping the switch.

The amount of trouble I have had connecting with this thing is beyond enraging. It may not be the product and could very likely be operator error. Tried with windows based PC, Pixel 2 and Nexus 6P, all were flaky.

Better results than expected and great price compared to similar products!

Tried on multiple vehicle with several devices and it does nothing. LEDs light up but it isn’t broadcasting any signal. My usb link works so I know it’s not my computer or the software. Love FORScan but this product is a waste of money and time
