Dear North Taste of Alaska - Alaska Salmon Bites Variety Case (Case of 6)

Here's my 2 cents, I bought these salmon bites on a whim 6 months ago....pricey, but im a salmon guy, I also bring a can of sardines to work every day for my protein, not the cheap ones...for many years. I thought these would be a super duper treat at work!! get my nutes and make my day more joyful with a nice $8 $10 a pop treat for lunch! the 1st order was amazing Juicy & Tasty not raw but not baseball glove. with that order if I was loaded id eat a bag every day!!....so....for Christmas I ordered I think about 5 or 6 6packs had one sent to my mom, 81 yrs old,(has all teeth!) and a few for friends ....of course a few for me too!!.....I even bought the jars for about $100 a 6 pack. heres what I got the jars.....they were the fireweed flavor Not the pepper, (my 1st purchase of these jars) the fish looked darker than the standard orangy pink salmon of sushi or fillets, but I opened one and we threw it room temp on some hot white rice.....BOMB!!! yumbo love em!!!...I imagine you can eat these jars like super sardines....I have!!....or insert into a recipe...they are great and we enjoyed them. The 6 packs of Salmon Bites.... as with any amazon order sometimes things come in all different days and never all at once....no problem but it had been 5 or 6 months since I ordered these.....so I HAD TO try one!!!.....I was shocked when I realized they were extremely rough to chew very very dry....and almost zero taste.....of course I ate all of it! did not get sick but I tried several bags, they are all the same texture....dry and dull....im not sure if the first single 6 pack I ordered a few months ago was an off batch or this order was......but what a difference....I wont buy them again if they are supposed to be dry and dull I mean like shoe leather (sorry)but if maybe they changed vendors and the bag or processing changed the fish texture....that would be an acceptable reason id try again....I wrote them a note on the first bag (of this order)...they shipped out another order to my mom no charge.....but I bought I think 5 orders!!!....ill wait to hear on that.....but I don't want to condemn the product.....I lived in Alaska a few years and love everything about it except the cost of everything!!....so my short review would be....the jarred fish is just right!!...buy it.....the bags of bites......I liked the tasty orange gummy bear style 1st order I made.....not the super dry tasteless second order.....for sure eatable wont get you sick or anything just too dry, tasteless and hard to chew for me. YES I have all my teeth and love beef jerky, apples steak, and chewing cough drops crRunch !!!.....just not what I expected.

Opened one of the bags on Christmas. It was moldy.
