poor manufacture. product would not link to network. useless as a NAS, if it will connect to network. the local machine recognized it but not the network. and that is a failure in software rollout. a NAS that will not connect to the network automatically in 2025 is bad, outdated software.

Good price and easy to use.

I don't want to say anything bad about this iCloud device; however, I have purchased two of them, and with 40 years of using a Macintosh and thousands of hours of messing with the SSK Personal Cloud Network device, I have not been able to accomplish the goal of using it for anything other than an external 4TB hard drive. Just because the instructions were written for a Professional IT level person does not mean it is a defective product. However, I suggest finding someone, perhaps a BestBuy Geek, to get past the technical mumbo jumbo if you plan to use it like a local network iCloud sharing device.

If you want to change anything such as changing the the admin password from the default (admin) or set static IP network settings, don't even think about buying this. At the default settings the drive appears to function correctly, but none of the apps or web-based management save any setting changes. My request for support resulted in a generic list of obvious troubleshooting steps, with the setting of the static IP issue addressed by setting an IP reservation on my router. Sorry, that's not how it's done on a router owned by a service provider. I would not touch this thing until they get their software functioning properly. I tried all the variations of their app, phone-based, Windows 11 32 and 64 bit, etc. with the same results. And you can forget about the manual, it's every bit as confusing as everything else.

this item will not show up on your windows explorer. needs its own app......so useless to me.

This product is a perfect example of a Chinese device that never functions as advertised. As usual, the operation manual is confusing, out of date and poorly written. The setup instructions are misleading and don't seem to apply. Contacting technical support leads to more frustration when the email response never addresses the customer questions. There is too much of a language barrier for this cloud storage device to succeed in the USA.

I like this personal hard drive, the apps allows me to access my files from my phone and iPad as long as there is internet access. So far so good.
