Q: Does this allow you to play mini dv cassettes in your vcr?

The pic is somewhat deceiving. It does look like the old VHC adapters that will play a VHC tape in a vcr But it is NOT! Look closer...it’s a pack of 5 mini cassettes. Only VHS and VHC (with an adapter) can be played in a vcr since the tape size is the same and that’s all that a vcr is made for. The mini’s can only be played in machines specifically designed for the mini format. I have always played mini cassettes with the digital cassette video camera I recorded with.

Q: Are these new (recently manufactured)? When manufactured?

We have purchased around 50 of these. tapes but the last time was in July, 2017. They are for our Canon digital video recorder camera. They have all been brand new, performed flawlessly, and I have never had an issue with any of them. FYI, our last purchase for a pack of five cost us $17.99 in July, 2017. Today's "sale" price still seems like a pretty large increase for a pack of five, even though it has been 4-1/2 years.

They are 5 individually wrapped in the box and they are brand new.
