These are very nice hinges, much nicer than they need to be actually. And the price reflects that. They operate very smoothly and are thick, solid brass. Just one ding, nothing to do with the hinges, but the description. The screws are not #7, they are #6. You will need some #6 steel screws for installation, especially in hardwood, so that the brass screws that come with it do not get damaged during installation.

I bought a pair of the 2" x 1.5" ball hinges for a small cabinet door approximately 14 inches square. The door is completely inset with an even gap on all four sides. These look nice but there is enough slop in the hinge pins to cause the door to drop out of square in its opening. The drop is enough that I would have to plane the edge of the door to make the gap even again. To be fair, this isn't a manufacturing defect, it's just not a high quality hinge. If the door were an overlap edge or used on a box lid, it might not be a problem. The pins are easily removed and I can probably fix them with a slightly larger diameter pin. But from now on when I need quality I'll buy extruded brass hinges like those from Horton Brasses. They are about $10 more per pair but they are a dream to work with.

These are precisely machined hinges and I have only 2 complaints; the barrel of the hinge is a little heavy for the size and it's annoying to remove the ball tips to remove the hinge pin. I prefer hinges with the ball tip on top attached to the pin and the lower ball screwed in.

Great quality hinges. Thicker than I expected, luckily the cabinet doors had enough spacing that I didn't need to chisel the mortise of the old hinge out further. The ball unscrews to remove this pin. And they look great.

Took a while to find small brass hinges to use outside, and this works and looks great.

Much less $$ than some other brands, but very heavily made. Use this on your high quality wood projects for a substantial feel to the project.

Nice solid hinge perfect for case work doors. I've used these same hinges in the past and have not been disappointed in the quality.
