What is Otamatone? The Otamatone is a cute, funny and fun electronic music toy that stands out thanks to its eighth body. The loveable moving mouth and the silly, buzzing voice distinguished. Developed by the design company Maywa Denki, it was first released in Japan in 2009 and has since been the best-selling music toy in the country. Innovative, unique and today a popular toy worldwide, Otamatone has earned a lot of praise for fans and the toy industry alike, including the Japanese Toy ociation big prize in their "High Target" toy department. How does it work? You don't have to be a professional musician to have fun with the Otamatone - everyone can get the spin of it. Play any melody you like by pushing your fingers up and down on the stem. Shake the Otamatone while playing for Vibrato and create a "wah wa" effect by pressing the cheeks of the Otamatone to open and close the mouth. Switches on the back of the head allow you to turn octaves, control the volume and turn the Otamatone on and off to maintain battery life. About Otamatone Japan Otamatone was born in Japan, so why not dress in Kabuki, Ninja or lucky cat clothes? The first Otamatone with a two-tone body has the model name printed on his flag in Japanese Kanji characters. MT Fuji and traditional Japanese paper patterns inspired the packaging design. Functions and size are similar to the standard Otamatone. Perfect gift for kids, teenagers and adults. Ideal as a Christmas or birthday gift for any child, music lover or anyone who wants to have fun making cute, silly songs on the world's most hilarious musical instrument. Makes a fun joke or gag gift, and the smaller, keychain large Otamatone melody designed for younger children is also an adorable party gift. Note: Actual colours may vary slightly from the photo depending on your monitor settings.

Hours of fun!
I bought this for my teenage son. This has kept him occupied for hours now during lockdown. Luckily, you can turn the volume down but he is getting some decent tunes out of it now. A great toy and introduction to learning to play a musical instrument. I hope this encourages him to learn to play other instruments. It is well packaged with clear instructions with visuals. You do need to press down quite hard to get the notes, but a little practice is all that's needed. It looks good too and is well made. Recommend
