Statistics for Explaining My Imagination
This is my favorite textbook; it is my only statistical reference; and it helps me to peruse it like I peruse my own book QQ, for short; "A Quotidian Quash: From Mental Hygiene to Mental Health 1969-2012," weekly.

More content than the previous version
I have owned previous versions of this book, this new version has expanded content. Highly recommended.

Shock Jock Statistics
If you enjoy statistics laced with edgy humor and irreverent jokes (jokes about the author's penis, semen puns, etc.), this book might be entertaining. However, if you see learning statistics as a meaningful intellectual pursuit and prefer a more focused and substantive approach, you'll likely find this book frustrating. Andy Field's brand of 'approachable' humor often detracts from the material, making it feel less like a serious educational resource and more like a distracting sideshow.Your time is valuable—choose a book that respects it and genuinely fosters your growth.Note: If this book is required for your course, it might be worth raising your concerns with the administration. Most universities would likely prefer to provide educational materials that better balance substance with professionalism.

Great updates, still the same excellent textbook
I use this textbook for my intro stats class to MPH students. It is a great mix of in-depth statistical explanations without jargon (like a Statistics for Dummies book) and weird stories/tangents that keep you reading and provide a little break from hard thinking. The updates are mostly to make things clearer and be more inclusive of the different types of people reading and learning from this book. A few of the examples and datasets have been updated too.

Inane and Vulgur
This is one of the worst written textbooks I've seen. The author seems to find themself incredibly witty and instead it's annoying. They alternately treat the reader like a child and get unnecessarily vulgar. Childish in using characters called Misconception Mutt and Correction Cat to explain elementary principles. I would explain the vulgarity, but it would likely get my review deleted. This book is incredibly difficult to read, and I really wish our university would have assigned something, anything, else.
