I must say, I was a little hesitant to purchase this. I have discovered after using this for one week, it does keep your bread very fresh! Always make sure you get all the air out of your bread loaf and store it in this box and it works great!

I bought these to use them for something completely different - storing granny squares for an afghan that is currently still in progress. My 4.5"x 4.5" squares fit in perfectly and stack very nicely, keeping them from curling. I highly recommend these for this use.

Works great and many different types of bread fit. It’s a functional no fuss design with a tight fitting lid. Opens easily while protecting from any bugs, rodents, etc. that may sneak in. Washed well in dishwasher.

Some of the clasps to hold these shut don't close all the way. These are very large..almost too big for a loaf of bread, but hopefully will keep the bread fresher longer.

I bought these because I bake my own bread. I got tires of constantly wasting plastic bags to store the bread. The material doesn't seem like it will break. I assume these will last me a lifetime. I am not thrilled about how thr lid locks. I'm not sure why four flaps were necessary. It does seal very well. If I ever don't need it for bread, I can definitely use it for other things.

Not suitable for the freezer - at least not for more than a week or two. The lid is definitely not water-tight or air-tight. Ice crystals and freezer burn set in pretty quickly, along with the food inside taking on smells from the freezer itself.That said, it's easy to open and close and the hinges haven't broken, so if you just need it for storing bread or dry goods at room temperature for a relatively short amount of time, it's probably fine.
