It wasn’t more than about 10- 15 years ago that the price of copper skyrocketed. I was a General Contractor and I had a waiting list of customers from 2 years back that I foolishly signed contracts with and locked in prices. Then for whatever reasons. There was a copper shortage and the price of anything copper went through the roof. Copper wire. I 250 foot spool of 12 guage was 18 dollars and jumped up to 80 dollars and copper pipe , etc. and it took about 6 months to level off. So copper coins with this type of art on it. It’s my go to affordable collectible. This is exactly what I expected for look , price, value. And I have a feeling all commodities like prescious metals and the like can only go up In value. Also the way we use, abuse and waste it won’t be long for the next shortage.
