Brand New Toshiba Satellite Pro C650 C660 C660D C665 UK Laptop Keyboard MP-09N16GB-698 PK130CK2A04

Keyboard arrived in good time and well enough packaged in a protective cardboard envelope.(1) The unit itself was a little flimsier than the original, outgoing one, due to the slightly thinner metallic back-plate (a reflection of low-cost quality?).(2) There was also a significant crease/fold mark on the thin flexi strip (a reflection of poor production/handling) but no evidence of any of the actual tracks being compromised.Despite (1) and (2) I went ahead and installation of the keyboard was OK, after albeit after having straightened one of the fixing tabs which was otherwise warping the keyboard when the associated screws was tightened up.Unfortunately, although all the keys did/do work, some of them (e.g. EXC, F3, INS, DOWN ARROW) need VERY hard pressing to actuate.So overall not really fit for purpose, hence 3 Star review and cannot recommend at this time.Have contacted seller to see what can be done and may adjust review depending on outcome.=========================================================================Update:The vendor was very quick to respond to my complaint (same day) and promptly sent a replacement, after having received my return.The 2nd keyboard had no visibible signs of "stress" (leading me to suspect that perhaps the first one had previously been used) and is working perfectly. Vendor also creditted back my return postage, without fuss.So kudos to the vendor and am curently happy with keyboard, so ellivating it to 4-star.If it lasts a year, I may update to 5-star!

Delivery was excellent, certainly but than I was informed. Keyboard is very good but packaging could have been a little better. It came in the post and through my letterbox landing on my door mat with a thud. I would have give five stars if were not for the lack shock absorbing packaging. Keyboards for laptops are a little fragile until they are screwed in place on a machine.When I opened the package the key cap of the shift key fell out of the wrapper.Fortunately I managed to re-attach the offending items to the keyboard and the keyboard I have successfully fitted to my laptop and works well.

Genuine part that fixed my keyboard problem. Comes well packed and delivery with Prime is fast. Replacement is easy. The screws holding the keyboard in place are accessed by prising off the keyboard surround above the top row of keys. Remove the four screws that hold the keyboard in place. This allows the keyboard to be extracted. The electrical connection is via a ribbon cable that has locking tabs. Release the locking tab by pushing away from the connector on the laptop. The cable then slides out and the keyboard can be lifted clear. Replacement is the reverse process. Carefully slide in the ribbon cable and close the locking bar. Locate the keyboard, secure with the screws and fit the keyboard trim and test. Everything should work normally again.

Would have been 5 as this is the third of these I have purchased. The previous 2 I didn't have any problems with, however in this instance the item was delivered on time, installed and working ok but after 10mins of use the 'A' key broke. Just one of those unfortunate things I guess, have returned and ordered a replacement.

Well, this is not as good as the original, as you'd expect, however, it was fitted quickly. When you press the keys you can tell the difference, also, it seems to bulge up in the centre, but as an option to revive my dying laptop, I'm a happy camper.

Saw lots of these (make sure you order the correct model as there are different ones for UK/USA etc) from various sources and although not necessarily the cheapest at £10 I went for this seller based on other feedback etc, arrived well packed, easily fitted into laptop (use a Youtube video as the guide) Wife slightly miffed at not getting a new lap top but I'm happy! 10/10

Purchased to mend a failing laptop. Have not used it in the end but have other laptops that need repair so will no doubt use soon.
