This pen writes. Ok, it writes very smoothly. The metal body makes for a fairly weighted pen in my hand - not in a bad way, but a very good feeling writing utensil. The pen comes with a good number of replacement cartridges that are easy to install. So, you will get the benefits of a fountain pen without the mess of dipping a pen in to an ink well.If you write any amount then you will appreciate the way that this pen flows through what you are writing. It is much easier on my hand to use than other ink pens that I own. The pen allows me to write without pressure on the page and without having to manipulate the point to get ink to flow. Instead, it is very comfortable and very easy to write with. The quality design and the storage pouch give you a pen that is made to last.

This pen was a great price and you get a pak of 5 blue and 5 black cartridges as well as a converter to add bottled ink. The pen itself feels nice in the hand and I like the mat rubbed finish of the barrel and the black nib! It is a nice size pen. I struggled to get the cartridge in but hadn’t read the directions sheet until I realized it wasn’t going to go in no matter how hard I pushed. The directions for the cartridge insertion does say you have to use a lot of force and it won’t damage the pen. So I put the cap on to protect the nib and tried again and it did snap in! You can feel it and hear it. I wet the nib and got a tissue to help the ink to start its flow and it writes beautifully! Excellent purchase with an extra fine/fine script. The replacent cartridges are very reasonable too so this will be an economical choice. I may switch over to the converter at some point but I like the blue and the black ink that comes in the cartridges for now especially with the great price point! Good pen!

This is a fountain pen bundle that includes a 5 black ink cartridges, 5 blue ink cartridges, ink converter, a pen sleeve and a Jinhao fountain pen. I believe the model is the Jinhao 88, but i couldn't find the real model number in the product description. Note that I bought this for myself originally, then gifted it to a friend to try to get them into fountain pens so I don't have it anymore. But I did like it a lot and was not trying to get rid of it when I gave it away.Build quality: the cap, section and body are metal (brass?) with a nice looking matte black finish. Has a nice bit of weight to it and feels well balanced to me. I got the impression of quality when holding it.Design: Understated, which I really like. May not be for those that like flashy pens. There is some fluting / grooving on the barrel that makes it a little more interesting to look at and feels nice to the touch.Nib, ink flow: I got the fine nib and it was very smooth, surprisingly so. Definitely smoother than my Lamy Safari. Ink flow was slow at first but it opened up after writing for a bit and the flow was good after that. This was one of the first pens I bought and I don't think that I flushed it with water when I received it. It might have removed this issue altogether. Also, I cannot remember which ink I used. It was probably one of included black ink cartridges or Hongdian black ink. Using a different ink may give different results.Pen sleeve: I actually really appreciated the included pen sleeve. I think it is a nice size, protects the pen's surface nicely and has a flap that tucks in to a strap so no part of the pen is exposed. I am trying to find out if / where I can buy the pen sleeves directly so I can protect more of my pens.Overall, I really liked this bundle. I thought the pen was good quality even before considering the price. The pen alone would be a good deal for the $10 I paid, but the fact that it comes with 10 cartridges, a convert and protective sleeve makes the value/$ high

If your looking for a cool pen and not overly expensive it's pretty neat. Has a nice weight to it since a good amount of the pen is metal except the ink parts. I'll admit, I got this pen on a whim due to price and I'd been seeing videos of people drawing with fountain pens and I probably got the wrong style but it's fun none the less. I actually ended up using it for both drawing and everyday pen wether I'm home or at work. It glides well, I know when I got this I first looked at all the 1 stars and was just hoping I'd get a good one lol it does seem based on others review that sometimes there is small errors that totally mess them up but the one I got was great. It does put out quite a bit of ink sometimes like a thicker line but I wonder if that's because I'm heavy handed and maybe messed it up or the surfaces of the paper I'm using. (Doodling on the back of sticker wax paper at work lol) first time putting the ink in was scary tho lotta weight to push into it that I pressed it against my table to do it.

Great deal for people not sure if they like or want to start down that rabbit hole addiction of fountain pens.This one writes well and smooth.It has a bit off heft and weight to it which some may like or dislike. To me it makes it feel more premium and not cheap/plasticky. You can also take the weighted cap off the end for a more balanced weight distribution.Design is simple with just enough flourish to make it fun and unique.Has not leaked over the several weeks I've used it.Extra ink cartridges is just a bonus.

I got this just to see if I'd be interested in fountain pens, and now I'm hooked. It writes great for such a cheap option, especially considering the included cartridges and the converter.

I LOVE this pen. Since I bought it is all I use. It does kind of bleed through the pages but it's only a dot here and there. I don't care. I love this pen. It's heavier than any other pen and fits my hand nicely. It's a fine point so it I like how it writes without being thick. The cap fits well and doesn't come off. I've already gone through one cartridge. The ink flows nicely and doesn't pool. I may never go back to ball point pens.

This pen is certainly worth the cost! As I have only used this fountain pen, I dont have anything to compare it to, but as someone who is just getting into calligraphy, it is easy to use, and the results are amazing.
