Great and speedy laptop, worth the price
Update:Sadly had to return this fan laptop, due to saying connected to wifi, but no internet. Tried an ethernet cable, would not recognize the network. Tried virgin media hib 3 and eero wifi, but keep disconnected despite the rest of the devices being connected. Tried to resolve the issue, fix it for a while and go back to the same No Internet, but connected to wifi. Even got the Virgin hub replaced, but did not work. 😔I like the fact that this laptop combines 1 of the best CPU’s currently in the market with the GPU,Huge 16GB RAM with 1TB of storage which is enough, can be easily replaced for bigger storage by taking the back cover off and programming a new OS onto the new storage drive, RAM is swappable wirh 2 clicks

MSI is sooo good
Bought this for my brothers birthday, I paid aound £1.3k for this laptop, which is a steal for the spec of it.amazing design, giantic 17inch screen and the performance is just too good.10/10MSI did a great job on this laptop.

Performance is good! But disappointed overall.
So I I’ve just upgraded from my MSI Stealth which I’ve had for 4 years and a love/hate relationship with. I’ve loved this laptop for so many reasons except the pain in the ass it is to upgrade!! So was very excited to get the Pulse 15 after some decent reviews on line. Well there’s an old saying, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!!!!!First off the pros. Even though I haven’t played much on it yet the screen is beautiful! Brighter and clearer than the Stealth and for the price point it’s got good internals. Also I’ve already had the back off to upgrade the M.2 drive and happy to say it was a breeze! My Stealth had to be completely dismantled as everything is under the motherboard! Like the addition of the Number-key pad.So the cons are many, first off the keyboard is bloody awful!!!! The keyboard on the Stealth is perfect! The W,A,S,D keys are transparent and you can barely see the letters, no idea what they were thinking but it’s annoying as hell!! Also the lighting set up is also crap, as is the MSI center compared to Dragon Center. The sound is also terrible, you have to wear earphones most of the time unless it’s pin drop quiet in the room. Not a fan of the Matt finish either around the keyboard as it shows every little spec of dust, finger mark, as does the mouse pad. The finish on the Stealth is way better and so sad they didn’t use the same material on this. As for upgrading the Pulse well yes it’s really easy to get inside to fiddle with and to upgrade the RAM/M.2 drive but there is only one M.2 slot! This is a massive draw back for any modern laptop let alone a gaming laptop. I had to clone the drive for a 2TB drive and though this wasn’t a difficult process it’s both a pain if anything happens to the drive and more expensive to upgrade.Battery life could be better but when has a gaming laptop ever had great battery life anyway unless it’s a brick and no longer that portable so yes it could be better but not a deal breaker. Last of all I feel cheated that there isn’t 3 USB 3.2, only 2 and USB 2.So to sum up, I know the Pulse isn’t a replacement or newer version of the Stealth and yes it’s faster, easier to get inside and a better screen, but other than that I feel it’s a step backwards in many other ways.

Great value package for the components you want
I'd agree with some of the negative comments from the other review. There are a few compromises to keep the cost down: the case is plastic and shows fingerprints; the keyboard isn't the best for typing on; only one SSD slot; speakers could be better; no SD card slot. I don't think any of those negatives are serious or outweigh the great component choices that made me buy this laptop. The processor and GPU are both top end, memory and SSD are fast and large enough for most purposes (I might upgrade the RAM to 32Gb) and the screen is beautiful (colour space, brightness, viewing angles, resolution are all spot on). Finally, I got a great deal on Prime Day that I couldn't turn down.I confess I didn't buy this for gaming and you should look elsewhere for reviews for that. I bought it as a cheap way to get an engineering/creative/programming workstation for running 3d modelling, photo editing and software development and it's perfect for that. I have an external mechanical keyboard and memory card reader so those issues aren't important to me. And if you care about sound quality, who listens to through their laptop speakers anyway?

Perfect for demanding games
I bought this at a huge discount on prime day for £1299Absolutely love it, runs everything I chuck at it without issue (warzone, valheim, the forest, sons of the forest, skyrim with mods, age of empires 2 DE etc). The form factor is also really good, just small and light enough to easily carry in a backpack.Sound (though not terrible) and webcam are slightly lacking but tbh if you're gaming with this you'll be using a headset so it really doesn't matter. I saw reviews saying the screen was also a cost cutter move but I think it's actually pretty decent, though I mostly use a larger external screen anyway. If this laptop is at the high point of your budget then I'd suggest getting it (though keep an eye out for discounts of course!).

Great - with one major problem
Great machine - fast and slick, plenty of power for modern games. But there's only 1 M.2 socket - which is already in use - so you cannot upgrade the SSD easily. It's quite tragic really - the PCB has the second M.2 pads - but no header soldered on. If it was there the SSD would collide with the battery. But there's actually enough space if they moved the battery to the right a bit - dumbest thing I've ever seen!

Laptop works perfectly
The media could not be loaded. It came with a little bend on the charging plug but other than that everything works perfectly as it should.
