Internal Right and Left Speaker Replacement for MacBook Pro 16" inch A2141 2019 2020 Year 661-13161, 661-13162

Right side speaker started buzzing at high volumes forcing me to only use the left speaker till replaced.While I only needed the one speaker, I figured I would by both just in case. I was impressed with these replacement speakers for the fact that they included new adhesive and tools to open the MacBook.Hardest part was removing the bottom cover. Once removed, I heated up the area on the palm rest to loosen the speaker adhesive with my wife’s Dyson blow dryer. Swapped in the new speaker and it’s working flawlessly.

Easy to replace everything working great ✨

One of the speakers came blown out. It rattled at any volume and was just bad. I was able to fix it by putting some liquid cement over the speaker to create new diaphragm and it sounds fine now. But If I did now know you could do that I would have been very upset. Overall not impressed that I got a broken product from seller.

I wish I could say more, but they work like they are supposed too. Easy to install as long as you know what your doing. If your computer repair challenged don't go taking apart your Mac book. Instead, have someone who knows what they are doing do it for you. Great speaker.

The packaging of the speakers is not desirable. My speakers arrived in 1 small static bag inside a bubble wrap envelope. My speakers were magnetized together and missing the plastic that was shown in the photos to protect the speaker from becoming torn during install and shipping.From appearances I do not think that these speakers are new. The speakers appear to have been pulled from another MacBook Pro or a refurbished product. The speakers have tool marks that would not be present in a brand new manufacturing process. There is old adhesive residue on the ribbon cables. The ribbon cables also have what appears to be old tape which is usually used to hole the zif connector closed. This reasoning is based on residue on the bottom of the tape and the appearance that the tape has been removed or pulled previously.I haven't installed the speakers yet but I suspect 1 of them is damaged due to the poor packaging or that speakers are not new but used or refurbished.I guess there could be the benefit that these speakers may be a genuine Apple part, but this is speculation. I will update this review if the speakers are broken after install.
