Works magic on plated copper!
Wanted to re-plate my old copper-plated candle sticks, which showed heavy 'bleeding'. However, was not sure about the effect so tried it on a brass-plated server first. After a lot of elbow grease and using abt. 1/3rd of the bottle, nothing had happened, also not on a brass sugar spoon, very disappointing! Then decided to put some of the solution on and old copper penny, and that worked! Felt more confident to use it on my candlesticks then, but tried the bobeche first, which came up very nicely. Worked my way round both candlesticks and they look absolutely beautiful again. Very pleased with the result, so a big thank you to Nushine!!First pic shows the original colour, 2nd pic is half the foot done, 3rd pic is after treating it completely. They are ready for next Christmas!Tip off to prevent over-polishing silver/plate items: if you don't use your plated silver/silver much, after cleaning/polishing then put items in a zip bag, push the air out and close the bag. Items will not turn black for a long time and is ready for use. That's what I do with my candlesticks.

It really does work. Restored the silver plating that had rubbed down to brass.
I wasn't sure this would really work and was very pleasantly surprised when it did. I'm a bit of a magpie and have loads of cheap shiny glass tennis bracelets and rings where the silver plating has worn off and the base metal below was showing through. I followed the instructions, cleaned everything with a toothbrush and hot soapy water, dried it and then rubbed on the grey liquid from the well shaken bottle. I'd thought it would take a lot of rubbing but I just applied a thick coating, wandered off to do other stuff, and when I returned to rub the items they'd all turned silver again. Like magic. It even gave a whole new lease of life to a ring my mum bought in the 1960s where nearly all the silver plating had worn away. That too is shiny and silver looking. Don't know how long the new coating will last, but it was a doddle to do so I don't mind having to repeat the process.

Howto use the product
I have looked carefully at the instructions on the back of the goods, including with a magnifying glass and I can not read any of it . Can I please have a larger print of these instructions.

Instructions
Insufficient instruction on how long to leave product on item. To me a total waste of money

Well impressed
To say I'm well impress with this product is an understatement, I bought it after one of my favourite earrings was left in a Milton solution and turned black. In the first few minutes of using the product I thought it wasn't going to work, the instructions do say it only works on certains metals and I don't know what the earrings are made of.However it started coming through and I soon had an earring nearly as shiny as its twin (see pics, left is the work in progress when I realised it seemed to be working. It was way worse to start with. Right is with the other earring that wasn't tarnished)It was fairly easy to use, took about 45 minutes to get from black to shiny silver, and not as messy as I feared. I used vinyl gloves and the product didn't seem to stick to them, so that was great to not smear it all over the place.Highly recommend!

Amazing!
I’m so so happy this worked so well! I don’t usually write reviews but i thought it might help someone in the same position I was! This necklace was (surprisingly, for the price) only silver plated and I started to notice the silver rubbing off after a couple months of wearing it. I started looking online for a silver re-plating service and came across this product, so I thought I’d give it a shot cause I love a bit of DIY. I used a cotton bud to carefully buff in the product, and lo and behold it worked better than I could have imagined 🤩 I would definitely recommend using a cotton bud for this if you’re using it on jewellery, to properly get to all surfaces. The first 2 pictures are before, and the second two pictures are after! you can see where the silver rubbing off on the back of the pendant created some rough texture, and the solution doesn’t even that out so bear that in mind! Also I only used a tiny amount for this so this bottle will probably last for ages. Hope this helps someone!

NOT permanent
I found out the hard way that gloves should definitely be used. The black takes about a week to come off your skin.Make sure you shake the bottle frequently whilst usingPlease note that this silver solution is not permanent - it does work at first but soon wears off
