The Catio came packed well, and with the wire attached to the frame already, was a nice surprise. It did take two (2) people to assemble, and we had to take it apart a couple of times. We went with the directions. No written directions just pictures and found we had not lined up the predrilled holes correctly as we got further into the assembly. (Lesson on this is to lay the frame out and look at where the predrilled holes line up before you start.) We did use a power tool even though the directions say not to. It is sturdy enough for my use, I set it up next to the house. If you set it out in an open area, might fall over in a high wind. This Catio will suit my needs.

I bought this product for my cats, and I am ready to take it down. This is the first year iv'e had it up during the winter, and as of right now I have mold. This is one thing I will not purchase again unless I paint it. If you do purchase this please make sure you purchase outdoor paint and paint it.

I bought this item because the price seemed reasonable and the pictures made it look solidly constructed. However, what we actually received was more like a low quality DIY kit rather than a professionly made structure that just requires assembly. Basically, they do the (shoddy) carpentry and that's it. The wood was warped and not properly painted / stained (the untreated wood showed through in many cases). The wooden frames were thin and extremely flimsy.The chicken wire was nakedly stapled to the back (outwardfacing) sides of the wooden frames. Half of the predrilled holes were missing, and in other cases knots in the wood made screwing the pieces together extremely difficult. I finally decided to stop with assembly altogether and use for scrap in other projects rather than expend more energy to complete.

This was not a easy project. Instructions are the worst. Wood pieces warped. The ceiling wood was the worst warped wood so much so we could not nail the support pieces into the seams. This is EXTREMELY over priced for the materials that came so warped. And the wood pieces are thin and cheap. It’s together but I can’t imagine it having any longevity. The price is absurd.

We finally got around to putting this together. It looks like it will be flimsy but once you put it together it’s pretty sturdy. I have 8 cats and one of them was a stray so she is indoor/outdoor. She’s free to roam but she prefers coming in and going through the pet door to go into the catio. All of my cats love it. It’s hard to get them to come in at night. I have to trick them with treats and even then it can be hard to get them to come in. It’s the best thing I ever invested in for them. It is not easy to put together especially by yourself, but once it’s together it’s great.plenty of room for 8 cats.
