As long as Tempo Disc is placed in a covered area it can be used outside. This version is not waterproof but we do sell another version from our website that is waterproof, this device records temperature only as it is completely sealed.

Q: How long does battery last

Hi Ian, Under normal conditions around 9 months. Please be aware if Tempo Disc is operated in temperatures below zero for prolonged periods this can have an impact on the life of the battery. The back of Tempo Disc can be unscrewed to replace the battery. Blue Maestro team

Q: Does it measure absolute rather than relative humidity?

You can calculate the absolute humidity using the relative humidity and temperature captured by this sensor. You can use the CSV export feature to implement this in a spreadsheet.

Q: What’s the difference between the blue dot and red dot? Similar price (colour aside obviously) thanks

The difference between the two devices is that the BLUE device measures and records temperature, humidity and dew point where as the RED device only measures and records temperature.
