If you have multiple thermostats (3 zones), do I need one for each zone?

I have 3 zones and I needed 3 power connectors to get each thermostat to work without throwing any further errors. Unfortunately, the instructions which are provided suggest you only need one in this situation which can be hooked up to the zone controller. I attempted this first (HZ311 controller) and could only figure out how to get it to work for a single thermostat. I then had to order two more after I figured this out. Considering my HVAC contractor estimated it would cost $700 to install the C wire to all three thermostats, I consider spending $75 (3 x $25) a good deal in comparison.

Question 2

Will the adapter give you control of the fan functions, so you can turn on just the fan with out running the heat or the air conditioner

It worked well in the begining. I did not check fan separatelly, but the fan worked together with heater and AC. Later the thermostat started to ask C wire together with the adapter. I tried to setup from scratch the thermostat, but it did not help. I removed the adapter and continue to run the thermostat without it. It works somehow...

I installed the device and the furnace runs but the ignition will not fully kick in so I only get cold air and fan won’t stop Running?

I would suggest getting a HVAC repair man to check your furnace since this problem likely not related to the power connector.

Does this work with a dual transformer system with 2 r wires?  (oil burner + ac)

The Nest Power Connector can work with dual transformer systems having 2 power wires (Rh + Rc) since it only acts as a replacement power source for Nest thermostats if you don't have a common (C) wire available. The need for a common (C) wire really depends on your HVAC system. Nest Thermostats typically get power from your system’s heating and cooling wires. But in a small number of situations, your system may not be able to deliver enough power, which may drain the battery and cause Wi-Fi disconnection. In these cases, you may need to connect a common or C wire to deliver enough consistent power to your thermostat, or you may use the Nest Power Connector as a replacement.
