Plug and Play Wireless HDMI Has A Variety Of Uses
This kit allows you to send and receive HDMI signals from one device to another over WIFI - no long cables or access points required! It includes a transmitter module (TX), receiver module (RX), two HDMI pigtails and two USB power cables. The power cables plug into nearby USB ports or phone chargers. The system is truly plug and play. No configuration is needed in order to get the picture to show up on a remote display. Plug the TX module into the source, plug the RX module into the display and hook up the power cables. Within a few seconds, there should be a signal on the display. When the TX unit is plugged in with power, it is persistent in connecting to the RX device (it will retry indefinitely). This is a helpful feature since you can disconnect the RX device (I use an ON/OFF switch USB cable), and when you do decide to reconnect, the TX unit will automatically begin transmitting within a few seconds. This works when both devices are within "range". The instructions specify 150FT line of sight. I was able to get a stable connection between different nearby rooms. When the TX module has a connection, its LED will turn solid blue. The system can also be used without the TX module. In this mode, the RX module will display helpful information on the screen while it waits for a connection from supported software. AirPlay (Apple) and Miracast (Android, etc.) are supported. The RX module offers a WIFI SSID that you can connect to. Once connected, you can mirror your screen using AirPlay, etc. I had no issues using AirPlay with my iPhone to the RX module. Sound and video was great and I was able to adjust the volume from the iPhone. While connected to the WIFI SSID you can optionally browse to the RX module's built-in webserver to change configuration options. These include output video resolution (convenient for lower-definition projectors), WIFI settings (channels, etc.), device name, language, etc. There is an option to have the RX module connect to your local WIFI access point - this is suggested if you plan to use mirror mode frequently. Configuration settings are saved to internal memory. For source resolutions, 1920x1080x60 (1080P) is the highest supported. For audio, the kit is compatible with PCM STEREO. If your source is using digital multichannel you may have to change its setting to PCM (on the source device) in order for audio to be passed. The kit worked great using my AppleTV as a HDMI source. On my cable box I had to change the sound to PCM due to the lack of multichannel audio support. This device has a wide variety of uses. It's perfect for connecting your laptop to a nearby HDMI projector or TV. Or for mirroring your TV to a nearby room (with an appropriate HDMI 1x2 splitter). For temporary communication setups between devices or situations where you don't want to run HDMI cables through the wall, this kit will serve you well!

Been using this for a few days with mixed results
Been using this between a 2013 MacBook Pro 13 inch and a PC laptop. I have gotten great signals across the house and crappy ones across the room. So its a mixed bag.. But when it works its great. When its off it stutters and you loose audio and video stalls. I was using this for a very important Zoom call with the laptop on one side of the room and this hooked to the tv itself. MIND you I had used it for nearly an hour with a portable screen coming off the fire stick. So yea I was doing Good before the zoom call. I got the call going and about 30 minutes in it started to stutter I ran into action and quickly replaced it with a 50 foot HDMI cord and that had no more stuttering . So going to leave this for Movie night with the projector in the back yard where its not mission critical.. Guess there is too much WIFI as there is my 3 hot spots (one for my Hot Tub one for my Security cameras and one for the house) And then I see up to 10 other hot spots throughout the day including a Kodak Printer ?? Weird. I like the concept .. I do have a pair of these that are bigger with dual antenna and run off of USB-C power (like these) and they are worse sadly. But I might just have too much saturation of WIFI that is causing it. But it worked great when we watched a movie.. (im too lazy to hook up the Blu Ray player on the other side of the room)Pros : USB-C Poweredself contained looks like a Flash DriveCons: Wifi saturation may affect signal

disappointed
I was expecting to use this kit to transmit HDMI from my TiVo unit to a TV in the garage. It worked as expected for about a 5 seconds. Then, a warning came across “is not correctly supporting HDCP (HD copy protection).” Any time I tried it after that a black screen with the warnings always came up. To be fair no where in the product description does it suggest you can use this kit for TiVo, Cable, DirectTV or DISH. But it also doesn’t make any note that copy protection would be an issue.Other than my disappointment the kit does work for my TiVo it does work as described in the product description. A few points to be made though:- The pair does seem to just work. Plugged the transmitter into a Windows laptop and the other end into a LG TV in a different room and it worked without any fuss. The kit included some short HDMI cable extenders both or which were needed. The transmitter and receiver are a bit bulky. I was able to use the usb for power on both my laptop and tv which made for a quick and easy setup.- The unit can be used with just the receiver to mirror a tablet or phone. I was able to mirror my iPad but it took a bit of patience. Networks are always be a pain. But I got it to work.- The instruction manual was mostly right. The booklet is very small. For setting up screen mirroring the illustration of what to expect on the screen is completely different than what shows up.- What shows up on the screen includes useless information on pairing the transmitter and receiver. I marked up the TV image to avoid showing network information. In summary this is a good kit to have for presenting information from a pc or to mirror a phone or tablet.

Great little gadget for wireless HDMI support
Got this to add wireless HDMI capability to my TV. It works well, there is a tiny bit of latency, but overall it works well. I will say the range doesn't seem to be as good as what was promised, but that could be interference with other stuff in my space. It's an easy to use plug and play device, and adds a ton of versatility to any component that supports HDMI. I recommend this for anyone looking to add wireless functionality to their electronics setup.
