Honestly wasn’t sure if this would work, but our cat took to it straight away. The L-shape gives her both a vertical and horizontal surface to scratch, which seems to keep her more engaged than the usual upright posts. Bonus: she also naps on the base like it’s a mini lounger.Assembly was quick (5 minutes with an Allen key), and the build quality is great — no wobble, solid wood, and the scratch pad is replaceable. It also blends in nicely with the room instead of being an eyesore.If you’re trying to save your furniture, this is a really solid investment.

Why did you choose this product over others?:I wanted a scratching post of a different material so the ones I had, as my cat is refusing to use them! This is different to other scratching posts, easy to put together and has a nice little ball to encourage cat to interact with it.It is not very substantial and had my cat been interested in using it, I don't think it would have lasted long. However my cat refuses to use it, I bought 2 for different parts of the house, he threw up on one and I had to throw it away. As they are reasonably priced I would not have been bothered if my cat had wrecked it, but he doesn't use it.Arrived quickly, all pieces there, easy to construct, reasonably priced. Just my cats preference

The media could not be loaded. I Love this product. You have to put it together but that's easy enough. Made of cardboard so not expecting it to last long but at this price, I'm not above replacing it every few months if it's something that gives the cats good enrichment and this definitely is. It has a ball inside that they can play with but can't get out so that keeps the cats interested in it even if they aren't scratching it, it's not just a scratching post, it's an enrichment tool. Keeps them busy for ages, my biggest boys been trying to get the ball for ten mins now, without losing attention or focus. He will sleep well tonight :) they also like to sit on it and chill. Also I should note, it is fairly weighted and none of my 5 cats have knocked it over even whilst chasing a lazer all round the living room! A scratching post that doesn't fall down that seems ideal for large cats? Yes please :) I would say since I got it a few hours ago, it's been used more than any other toy I have for them including my Lazer robot toy which they go mad for so I'm giving it a 10/10. Wasn't expecting this to be such a hit, really glad I got it :D

Great, can be reversed when one sides shredded but it lasts for ages and good for cats that like to reach up or dawn to scratch, I’ve bought 2, very sturdy

Easy to build, screws require a smidge more force than I thought other than that no worries. My kitten is very interested in the ball but not quite got around to scratching the actual cardboard yet, but I think thats more down the him rather than the product. Very solid and sturdy and the right size to block part of my sofa!

My cat hasn't shown any interest in this, I've tried encouraging her but to no avail. It's good quality and sturdy. Worth a try.

Update 13.10.24: I've updated this from 4 stars to 5 stars because the cat really loves it and is getting great use from it, he's been scratching loads and it's barely worn away at all. This will last much longer than I expected, and compared to other scratching boards this is a fair price and a good product. Will buy another when it eventually needs to be replaced. I've left my original review from a few weeks ago below.Original review: I feel this is quite expensive for what it is. I didn't look closely and thought the main part of it was sisal. But it's cardboard. My fault for not looking closer. However, cat loves it. First he just used it like a chaise longe, laying around on it mainly. But he's worked out he can scratch on it now too. We'll see how long it lasts. If it lasts months and months then maybe price is okay but I can't see it lasting that long.
