So Simple and Yet So Outstanding!
I have been using the QuickPush Chopper everyday for about 1 week now and I am stunned to find myself describing somethign as simple as 'a veggie chopper' as being "Outstanding". I say "Outstanding" because:1. The design is simple, uncluttered, unfussy and effective - simple to use, simple to clean, simple to maintain.2. The manufacture is of a very high standard and is all the plastic and moving parts are robust, and the steel blades are sharp and also robust.3. The effectiveness of use is consistent across a wide range of foodstuffs - soft, squishy, ripe tomatoes through to tough, thick sweet potatoes, turnips and cleriac; hard leafy cabbage to soft leafy lettuces; dense winter squashes and softer, summer squashes; onions, leeks, fennel and shallots; apples, pears, bananas and mangoes.Quality. When I watch adverts promoting American household items the main 'selling point' usually seems to be "time saving". Well, I live in rural France and, although I am British, I love cooking in the French-style. Quality and consistency are the critical success factors in French cuisines, not speed or convenience, and here is where I see the outstanding benefit of Brieftons Quickpush Chopper. The shape, size and consistency of chop, irrespective of the foodstuff, is fantastic - far superior than anything I can manage with my best Sabatier-K knife. (And, by the way, in a fraction of the time!!)I have been surprised and delighted by something I bought initially as an 'extra bit of kitchen kit', primarily to help my otherwise non-cooking partner, when they do make an effort to rustle-up a "spag-bol" or veggie casserole. This 'extra bit of kitchen kit' has rapidly turned into 'an essential bit of kitchen kit' and could well be putting some of my Sabatiers out of work!I strongly recommend the Brieftons QuickPush Chopper.PS - The Brieftons Spiralizer is fantastic as well!

Works well
I love this gadget as I am always dicing onion and bell pepper. So dipping my toe in the chopping world I thought I would go cheap as either it's a gimmick or the novelty will wear of .I saw a few reviews of this brand and all were positive so I took a gamble on buying it and I have never been so surprised on how convenient and efficient it is .It's got 3 chopping sizes and the 6 mm is my favourite for fine diced onions the next size up for bell peppers.Be warned the blades are really sharp and a momentary lapse of concentration was punished very quickly. The slightest pressure had claret coming from my thumb and I didn't even feel it.Overall I highly recommend it for what I got it for.

It Works Well.
Looking for an effective one of these for years and have discarded a few along the way. This is a good system and chunks quickly and easily into the box provided. If you're not using immediately there is a close fitting lid that replaces the cutting lid. Some thought is needed on the shape you put in otherwise everything solid will be baton shaped. Leaves are chopped nicely. There are three different cutters and a cleaning tool also included. Cleaning of the bowl and lids is fairly simple. Beware ! The cutting blades are extremely sharp and the slightest touch can mean blood. Take care in handling. Use the small scraper tool to clean the blades and the press. Leafy items do get tangled in the press but are easily removed with a bit of care. Overall, this item works well. It's difficult to retrieve and put the items through again so think about your needs and cut your fruit, veg and salad accordingly.

Sturdy, well made, and very useful
Item consists of1) a very strong plastic tub with 4 rubber feet to prevent slipping.2) A normal plastic container lid.3) The actual chopping mechanism.4) 3 Different sized chopping grids.5) A cleaning device.6) A set of useful instructions. If anyone has ever owned a 'chipper' its very similar to this, but the design of this is much improved over previous incarnations. We use this mostly for onions - to do this you have to peel the onion (remove top bottom, half, remove skin, and half again).Once you got the peeled onion in quarters, you're ready to go. Simply attach the chopping mechanism to the container, taking a little time to ensure you 'catch' it onto the plastic lip on the container. Once done, raise the lid, slot in the chopping blade of your choice - the instructions do make recommendations. For onion, we use either the small or medium one. Then using a bit of strength, just press the chopping mechanism lid onto the onion, which presses it onto the blade, and within seconds and a single push, you have diced onion. Use what you need, then put on the container lid, and store in the fridge. The instructions recommend part boiling harder root vegetables. Being honest, we didn't bother and just used some strength to push it through. The chopping mechanism is very sturdy, and the non-slip rubber feet on the container really work well to stop it from sliding around when cutting. The blades are very sharp. I was inquisitive (and stupid) enough to feel the blades when it arrived only to slice my finger! The container is also larger than anticipated which does mean it needs a little more cupboard space than expected, but the benefit of that is you can potentially chop a whole meal in it!Cucumber sticks, cheese sticks, carrots, potatoes, onion, peppers, you name it, we've cut it!
