Close to spectacular
This glove is extremely close to screen accurate. The blades are soldered solid, the glove is very soft on the inside, comfortable if you wear it. The armature is solid, a little bit too solid- the fingers are hard to bend and one of the rings on the ring finger, while screen accurate, is not low enough to catch your finger if you bend it so you can't easily move that finger blade. Other than that, My only problems with it are that the backplate and knuckle pieces of the armature were not aged or scuffed enough, they look too new. The knuckle part looks like brand new copper, a stark contrast to the finger parts that have the torched look due to the soldered blades. The backplate looks like it had a paint wash and then was scratched up and finally clear coated. You can fix that by using your own aging techiques, sanding and solutions- at your own risk of course. Also, the plastic hand base that the glove comes with has a seam on the bottom that makes it uneaven and prone to falling over. While the blades are fairly sturdy I do not think it would survive a fall off of a shelf without bending or breaking the blades off. The blades seem to have a coating on them that chips in any places that they are bent. Most likely this was to prevent rust with the type of metal they used for the bleades. It makes sense that they would not use steel for the blades but that would have really put needed quality into this prop. Not that this isn't an outstanding prop, it is a steal for $70, but it is much more a display prop replica than a functional piece to be used for a costume. We keep getting closer and closer to officially licensed perfection. I really hope NECA makes a glove for ANOES parts 3 and 4. This one was way better than the metal F vs J glove that Rubies made a few years ago. Definitely a good purchase.

Wonderful replica even comes with his rewelded blade!
Love this replica I lost my other one and needed a replacement and this one is actually better. It even comes with the index broken blade, which true fans know is how his glove was originally.During the production of the first A Nightmare on Elm Street movie, the index finger blade broke in half and had to be soldered together. The index-finger knife at one point had broken off, and it was soldered back on.So this replica is made by those that actually enjoyed the original. The glove is a simple farmer's/gardeners type glove with the metal piece added to it, just as if it was made on a whim of a psychopath. It isn't polished and perfect, but fitting of Freddy just getting started. The glove is left open for you to make your own way to close it, if you need too.I like another here, used Velcro on inside eges and it's perfect! Can't see it and it's snug.I added the smallest controlled amount of WD40 on the metal joints for a slightly looser bend on the fingers. It does not bend on your knuckles, do don't expect that to happen. It isn't a Terminator hand. The action is in the fingers. I love it and am going to wear it for a horror movie friend's going away party.

Great replica of a classic...
Well I got this in the mail about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love this glove, the detail is amazing on it. NECA really took the time to find the little things to make it look exactly like the glove used in the first movie.I only have two gripes about the product which others have had too. The first is the fact that the glove uses a safety pin to secure it. Now I know that the glove broke in the movie and the safety pin is clearly visible in the shot in the alley scene, but it just feels like when you are wearing it that it is going to rip out of the glove. The second is the fact the the ring finger can't really be bent as the ringlet is super high on the glove and you have to have a long finger to be able to grip it to bend it. I have long fingers and it is super hard to reach it with my wrong fingers so I will have to alter it to wear it.Other than that I freaking love this thing and would suggest anyone who would like a good cheap replica to get this....NECA comes through again!

Nice collectable, but slightly damaged :/
The glove is a beautiful replica, but it's a little difficult to move. I just need to break it in a little though I'm sure. It's one main flaw is the pointer finger blade has been broken in half and soldered back together. The listing said nothing about that. It in fact said it was brand new, so I of course didn't expect any damaged. I'll still keep it though. I think it gives it some character. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

great with a lil work
ok so i bought this and recieved it. It was packed well with no damage to the box at all once opened. For the price i would say go for it but some things need to be fixed. The blades are metal but cheap metal. They wont bend with normal freddy like movements I.E scraping them on things but i wouldnt stab even a cardboard box. The ring finger tip strap seems to be set to far up the finger for my hands as well as the small finger tip strap piece is angled. I will be trying to move them down and resoldering them in place. It did in fact have a saftey pin to hold the glove shut on the whrist area. I used velcro and it works great now. If you put the velcro under the right side and leave about an inch sticking out, then on the other side put all the velcro counter piece under, it cloeses and you cant even tell it is split open. it works good for trying it on and then replacing it on the hand stand that comes with it. which is awesome. It has a nightmare on elm st. printed on it and the glove would just be laying on a shelf flat without it. I will be looking for a better hand built glove which i found online at a place called razor glove.

Kinda disappointed with Neca
First impression, smell of formaldehyde. Second the extremely thin metal for knives, the shotty weld on the index finger like they broke it off, and fixed it. Glove is not thick but better quality than Rubie's glove. But it is metal and leather, stains look great, the plastic mannequin hand is cool. If you are a fan, save your money and buy a more realistic glove, for me this will do fine in my fandom collection.
