Keep Your Chocolate Stash Close At Hand!
Warning: Keep your chocolate stash close at hand as you read this interesting and informative book. From how chocolate is created and produced to the history of various candy bars and their makers, this is a comprehensive guide of, IMHO, the world's best food. Even though it is written for grades 3-7, I feel that the length and complexity of the material would make it more suited for high schoolers and adults. The text is small and richly packed with details, and there are relatively few pictures. From both a humanistic and confectionery perspective, The Book of Chocolate is bound to grab your attention and leave you hungering for more.

Everything you wanted to know about chocolate and more
I purchased this book for work but really enjoyed it. I learned so much about the history of chocolate and how the candy bars we love today came about. This book is very informative and well written.

Great coffee table book
I purchased this as a gift for clients we we were hosting on National Chocolate Day (October 28). This is a great coffee table book (not a recipe book).

Chocolate fun facts
This is a fun, short book about the most important food group in the world, chocolates. Although the age group is 8-12, adults will find it informative as well. Highly recommended for nonfiction book report for school aged kids because it is not a boring read.

Interesting
I can't say I read the whole book, but this one is a "keeper"! The attractive style is a plus, but it has more than just good looks. Some flavorful samples: Harry Reese had 16 children. Quote- For Europeans used to a richer chocolate flavor, the Hershey's bar doesn't compare, and they won't buy it. Many of them refer to it as "barnyard chocolate. "

Ok hardcover re history of chocolate
The book felt like a student textbook on the history of chocolate. I returned as the dust cover came ripped and I was going to gift this to a chocolate fan. Provides a good history and an inexoensive hardcover - jyst felt too much like an old library book.
