It works very well as an adapter for Dyson V7. I have found that Dyson V7 are underpowered and do not vacuum properly like the Dyson V6. With this adapter, the suction is stronger and batteries do last.

Easy to install, more power for longer. Best upgrade to the vacuum ever. If you already have the batteries it's a win win.

Replaced Dyson battery pack with this as well as only getting 20 seconds of run time on stick vacuum full charge. Saw a YouTube video on this…. Replaced in under 2 minutes and working perfect with Dewalt batteries. Couldn’t be happier.

About 18 months ago, I saw a video of someone converting a dyson so that “tool” batteries could be used. Aside from taking a little time and a soldering iron, the solution disabled the on off trigger. While the frustration of the dyson battery and my complete inability to use the vacuum, caused me to want to throw the vacuum away - I paused and actually thought of cyrogenics and so I just put it on a high shelf. I figured if every dyson handheld had this problem, someone would make a solution for the masses.Well that day has come, and I just received the kit - a plastic piece and a magnetized screwdriver. At first I was disappointed that the instructions only cover battery installation…soon I realized the screwdriver was sized to fit 3 small screws. After removing them, I inserted the new piece and replaced the 3 screws.My guess is the whole process took less than 3 minutes. This is an absolute no brainer. I have tons of dewalt batteries which means that the vacuum no longer has to be recharged while I am still cleaning with it…my effort can no longer be stymied by realizing no one charged the battery after the last use. Why dyson doesn’t partner with milwaukee, dewalt or makita to use their batteries (similar to what graco has done with their paint sprayer), I will never understand.If you have a dyson hand held vac, I would change the battery out immediately. You benefit from both added reliability as well as usability. I actually think the vacuum is stronger now than before. it may just be as strong as it was when I first got it.

This was such a dope idea! Amazing to be able to swap out the batteries and vacuum as long as you like. But it broke within 4 months. Bummer nothing's made to last anymore. Would love my money back but past the return window obviouslyEDIT: not only did it stop working, but it DRAINED MY DYSON BATTERIES they only work for 30 seconds on a full charge now. Pissed

I have a Slim Dyson that I love. The original battery finally gave out and I had ordered another replacement battery via Amazon. After a few months, this gave out and I ordered another which then did not work. I was frustrated at this point. So my husband started researching to find a better solution. WOW—- this is a timesaver and lifesaver—- this adapter is the solution! Try it- it’s the best. It’s a whole lot cheaper than constantly buying batteries which are TOO EXPENSIVE.

Works great ! We have replaced the battery before but this adapter makes it easy to use with all the dewalt batteries we have. Never have to wait for it to charge.

Great product. Most people have a drill laying around so to use the battery for your vacuum helps alot. It lasts longer this way also. The battery to buy can be so expensive so this helps!

Had no idea this type of thing existed till Dyson would not replace our dead battery because it was a month past its warranty. Had the large dewalt batters already. Took 5 minutes to install this thing and works better then ever. a bonus of using dewalt (or any other battery like dewalt) you can always have another one on the charger so you don't have to wait for a charge.

Been a while since I bought this. It was easy to install, works exactly as I expected. With a 20v 5ah lithium dewalt battery.. this allows me to clean a LONG time before having to recharge
