This thermometer does appear to be highly accurate, but, beyond that, the design is not very thoughtful. It has no backlight, which seems ridiculous for a thermometer that will largely be used in the dark. I sleep with other people, including young children in the room, and I don't want to be fumbling around with a phone light, lamp, or flashlight and possibly waking them up. Even more important, the feature for recalling the last temperature taken is tricky. You have to press really hard for several seconds to see the last temperature and it only displays for as long as you are pressing; if your pressure lets up for a second, the thermometer flashes "97.70" on the screen before going off. So, the first few times I used this, I ended up thinking THAT was my temperature, which really messed with my charting. We are currently avoiding, and I was being ultra conservative since I was using a new thermometer, but otherwise it would have led me to believe that I had a three day temperature shift (I run low, obviously). It also only remembers one temperature, which is manageable, but more would be nice (I could have taken another look at those three temperatures!) The tip of the thermometer is firm, not rubbery and flexible. This is just a matter of preference, and I don't mind it being firm. Overall, I prefer my old Geratherm, which I accidentally damaged, and I will be buying another one of those instead as soon as I can afford it. It measures the same as this one, so I believe they are both quite accurate. But the Geratherm has a backlight and an easy to use recall for 10 temps - no tricky flashing of other temperatures, and once you hold the button down to get to the last temp, it remains on the screen for a few seconds even if you let go (press the button again to get to the previous temperature). This one on the other hand is accurate but not user friendly. Wish I had my money back!!

Thermometer itself is very good for measuring body temperature, BUT - this is bbt thermometer- which is for measuring temperature very early morning (most of the time is still dark outside), so WHY there is NO BACKLIGHT? And while is so dark - is hard to tell where is actually the power button since is so sleek ..

I've been using this every morning for 3 months now. It does take awhile to decide on your temp which is what I wanted because I read that the more accurate thermometers take longer since they are checking for the most constant temp. That being said, I'm not completely sure these are as accurate as they could be. There have been several times that I've gotten a reading that seems off so I turn it off, then turn it back on and try again and I get a completely different reading. It's been accurate enough that I've definitely been able to determine my monthly trends in temp as I go through my cycle but I do wonder if there may be a better thermometer out there for this purpose.

I am very happy with this product, it is as described and works very well. The memory mode is very helpful which allows me to transfer the information to my chart later in the day and the chapter I received on determining ovulation was extremely helpful. Another plus is that the button is easy to push/operate and the beep is soft enough so that it does not wake my husband! Excellent product.

Temperature to the hundredth degree! Great for keeping ovulation logs when every bit of a degree matters. The instruction is thorough. Bonus links to book pages and ovulation log keeping. Giving this to a friend who is trying to get pregnant. The thermometer is easy to use and read, and priced reasonably.

When my BBT thermometer stopped working after first use, I contacted the Baby Maker, and they immediately shipped me a new one with an extra battery at no cost. The replacement works great so far, and the customer service was exceptional.

thermometer works great. It is a little slow and it would be better if the screen was lit, but overall I am happy with my buy.

Used this to help see when I was ovulating. Works well and there’s no complaints.
