Looks great now installed. Bolts had to be shortened to fit our existing letter box. Finally found imperial nuts and washers to suit.

Not a bad letterbox, would buy again

Fit for purpose but requires adapting length of screws requiring sawing off unnecessary length for conventional letter boxes.

Bought this to replace an old (probably Howdens) letterbox with screw holes 21cm apart. I was hoping to just swap them around without any hassle. However the external plate is slightly smaller than my old one, and left a slight gap at the top, so you could see daylight above the letterbox looking out. Also the external plate is not as deep as my old letterbox, and the two bits that the bolts screw into (ie you push them through the door from the inside and rotate so they screw into the letterbox to fix it in place), these parts which take the bolts protrude slightly, so you need to also create larger holes, maybe 0.5cm deep, on the outside of the door for each to accomodate these protrusions.

Only 6 months old and loosing looks.

No fixings included in the package, just the letter plate

This replacement letter box looks well smart on the door & works well. The old one let draughts in ..... this one a much better fit. Good price for a brass fitting & easy to fit.
