I wanted a not-too-big calculator that I could leave on my home office desktop but could also be easily handheld. This fits the bill. The size is perfect for my use cases (unobtrusive and doesn't take up too much space on my desk, while easily fitting into my small-to-medium-size hands), the display is big and easy to read on the angled screen, keys are easy to push, and it has the functions I need.

The calculator is small and built well. If you want a handy sized basic calculator that you can bring with you (if needed) this is a good option. The screen is large and very easy to read. I use the back of a pen to push the buttons. It takes up very little space. It has a crisp neat look if that matters to you. Lastly it's a Sharp product. It's should last for a long time.

It seems that most "desktop" calculators are 9 digit and a bit too large for my taste. It took some searching to find the 8 digit size I preferred. This one works as described and is the correct size for me. My biggest concern is being able to easily replace the battery so I can keep using this device for many, many years. I've opened it up and it looks simple enough to replace but I have yet to try, I guess I'll eventually find out? I supposed the smart thing to do would be to try replacing one now so if it doesn't work I could send it back?

The look and functionality is great! However, the keys are too small for what I was expecting from a desktop calculator. I read other reviews noting that it was smaller than expected; which I thought would be ok. I didn't realize what an effect it would have on the use of the keys. I'm used to being able to sit my fingers on top of the calculator and use without really moving your hand (similar to a keyboard). However, it's a little too small for that. If you use it often, you may want to opt for something a little larger.

Been using one for years. Then the batteries leaked inside so I got another. Uses both batteries and solar.

I bought a different calculator and returned it because I was surprised at how cheaply made it was like a toy. This Sharp calculator is the best in function and build!! I can't believe they are selling for such a low price. I don't understand why people don't buy this calculator.

Perfect for a desk drawer. Buttons feel good when you press. Great calc!

A little too small to be used as a good office calculator for speed use.I posted a side by side photo with my current casio calculator which is already a bit small for office use.Suggest you get the bigger size one from Sharp.This is good for traveling though.
