Good camping toilet
Okay so if you are reading this review you are already in need of an alternative toilet. For me we were going remote camping with a group. We have two young children and the thought of digging cat holes and finding remote poo places for me plus two other small humans amongst a group of acquaintances was stressful. So I dove head first into researching camping toilets and settled on this one based on price and reviews. Overall I am pleased, the seals were secure (most important!). It was easy to use and fill up with water. I definitely recommend buying a chemical tab for the waste holding tank (I used Walex) along with RV toilet paper. At the end of 3 days the waste tank was pretty full. I think we could have maybe gotten one more day out of it and it was getting a bit stinky when opened (caveat my 6 year old may have caused some of the stink issue) which leads me to a negative. The water flush is really a light sprinkle, maybe 2 oz and poop needs a bit of help to go down sometimes and will leave a skid mark. That can be alleviated by adding a bit of water pre poo or a piece of toilet paper. That didn't really bother me but my 6 year old left a number 2 in the bowl overnight and didn't say a word because it wouldn't go down and they didn't want to ask for help. Once that happened the toilet started being stinky. So if you have adults using the toilet it probably wouldn't be an issue but can be challenging for kids.As for dumping I opted to use an RV dump station. I was not sure my home toilets could handle 5 gallons of waste being dumped in one go and also did not want to stink up my home. I'd never used a dump station before but it was pretty easy and did not require I purchase any other equipment. I had gloves and clorox wipes, I opened the top and poured directly into the dump hole. Rinsed with the water provided at the dump station several times and dumped then wiped the seals, outside etc. with the clorox wipes. The walex tablets did their job and the tank was pretty much completely liquid. So overall I am happy with this toilet and would recommend, we bought the green elephant utilitent for a bathroom and it was awesome.

Easy set-up, lightweight and comfortable seat.
I purchased the Porta Potty in March 2018 but it stayed in the box because I didn't need it. Until a week ago when my town suffered a five-day power outage. August 2020. When there is a power outage my household is unable to use the toilet or shower as we are below grade and need to run waste water through a sewage ejection pump. No electricity, no toilets or showers. So life is extremely difficult if there's a prolonged power outage. This was the real reason for my purchase. We can wash then water the flowers in the garden but, go to the bathroom? It was easy to set up the Porta-Potty. I added a Walex Porta-Pak for deodorizing and to treat waste in the tank. When the power was restored I emptied it into the toilet and flushed. I hosed it down with clean water, let it dry and stored it for another time. Excellent product. If I was a camper this would be one item I'd definitely take with me.

Shipping damage needs attention...
I had received the item 3 days ago and could hear a rattling sound when opening the Amazon shipping box with the Zimmer portable toilet box inside. Upon first sight of the Zimmer product box I found a damaged bottom corner on the box and a puncture in the cide of the box as if something small and sharp hed penetrated. Opening the box I found the toilet seat lid to be broken off at the hinge. The rest of the toilet seems to be o.k. but I didn't fill the tank with water to test for leaks in case I was subjected to shipping the whole thing back or not. I put the unit right back in the box and shipping box, sent Zimmer detailed e-mail about this with the e-mail address provided in the instruction sheet but have not received a reply yet. I will be fair and not rate this product until a new lid is shipped or however the process should go and then I can test the holding tanks for leaks. If all is well I will give a high rating. If nothing is done about this small problem then something undesirable otherwise.

Great purchase for our current times.
I love throwing house parties and yard parties. Covid put a damper on my entire summer. But when the stay at home was lifted I was still not comfortable going out and about but missed time with my friends and family. I had a yard party with a projector two fire pits and all... But I did not want people running in and out my house touching things and breathing on all me and my daughters things - even if it was just the walls. Precaution in this time is very important. I bought this and a portable sink. The toilet was nice and compact and very easy to use and clean and gave me a lot of peace of mind. I am not sure as to how well it travels since mine was just set up in the garage but it did the job I needed it to do perfectly. Thanks

Disgusting to dump, 0 accuracy at any regular RV dump station
Functionally, it's as advertised. However, this things sucks hardcore when you need to dump for a few reasons:1. There's a single handle, and its at the top. There are 0 other ways to really grip the bottom of it while you're trying to poor it out. Forget about accuracy or regulating the flow. Especially when it's full after several days boondocking, it's heavy and even harder to handle.2. There's no way to hook up an RV sewer hose out-of-the-box to keep your waste from spilling and guarantee it gets into the sewage pipe.3. The placement of the exit hole is awkward when it comes to solid waste, meaning you have to tilt and shake to get things to come out... As with issues 1 and 2, this means you have 0 accuracy. If it would simply have the option to hook up an optional sewer hose (or if they made one specifically for it), these wouldn't be issues. As it is, this toilet is pretty disgusting to dump.
