... this product by a friend and I'm finding it nice to use as well
Turned onto this product by a friend and I'm finding it nice to use as well. Durable, heavy so not to fall easily and a nice hook for the thumb to hold in place while sketching. I got the smaller version than hers, liked the assortment of pigments and didn't really need a whole lot for the limited sketching I do.

GREAT BANG FOR $20 BUCKS!
UPDATE 23JAN2018:I've used the paints with several paintings and I like them very much. However, I decided to try an artist 24 paint set that I've had my eyes on. I purchased Whiskey Painters 24 half pan set and 24 full pan set. I learned the original half pans that came with the box are slightly larger than the ones that I purchased separately. In filling my own pans, I can now fit 26 half pans (13 in each row) or 14 full pans (7 in each row). I believe all Whiskey Painters pallets are made in the U.S.A. I liked this so much I bought a second one for a relative who is an artist, Now, if only the seller would sell the 48 half pan pallet that they sold last year so I can store all my pans.* * * * * * * * *For a person on a limited budget OR a water colorist beginner, this is a great bargain! You get:1. 24 half pan colors (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch square)2. Two plastic pallet water holding cups.3. A Pentel water brush. I was hesitant to try this and decided to purchase Whiskey Painters size 2 brush. However when all of the products arrived, I went straight for Pentel's water brush which has a nice point and has a firm spring bounce to it.Based on YouTube suggestions, I made a swatch of the colors as they were displayed (I used a mixed media paper). The seller (Bringing Ideas To Life) responded to my question providing the colors within a timely manner. Which brings me to a con:CONS:1. The manufacturer should provide the list of names for the colors that are provided. Although the seller provided names for me, they don't (visually) seem to match for me (oil painter) with what I had received.2. I can't find replacement colors to purchase.3. You can not fit extra pans (neither half nor full) in between the two rows. Unlike some other Whiskey's Painters tins and other manufacturer's pans, it's too narrow.4. I had one pan that was loose and fell out. It was an easy fix though. All I had to do was pinch the metal supports slightly together with the pan in between them which tightened it nicely.PROS:1. It's a quality set : craftsmanship and the amount of items that are included.2. It's nice to have a purple and Paynes Grey.Attn: BeginnersThere are a lot of YouTube videos. Although I used water colors years ago, I never had a metal box. What is recommended in watching the various videos, is to use an original Mr. Clean Eraser to:1. Scuff up the mixing areas (remove the shine and make it appear as a matt finish) so the water colors that you are trying to mix won't pool together, and2. It will clean the paint stains that are on the metal.Well, I hope this review will help someone. For me, I think I'm going to purchase a package of the full pans in order to fill with the colors that I use the most, in addition to my favorites that came with this set.

I really like this watercolor travel set
I really like this watercolor travel set. It comes with a waterbrush and two water cups to clip on the side of the box or your sketchbook. The paints wet easily to give a good rich color. It's not as small as another field sketch box I have, but it does have more color options while still being small enough to tuck in my pocketbook or sketch bag. I've really enjoyed using it so far.

Great for watercoloring on the go :)
I love this set and all it comes with for the price. The quality of the metal box is pretty sturdy and I LOVE that it comes with 2 water-holding cups. I'm able to take this with me everwhere and the pentel waterbrush fits perfectly in the metal box.One thing I noticed is that when I painted swatches, there was some granulation at times but it's not consistent. Sometimes it paints smooth and at other times I would see granulation. I enjoy texture so I didn't mind too much.Overall, I'm very happy withe purchase.
