Jesbod J16 Bluetooth Speaker IPX7 Waterproof Speaker Built in Mic HD Sound for Outdoor&Indoor-Black

I bought this speaker to replace my Photive Hydra that was beginning to act insubordinate, I ended up continuing to use my Hydra anyway and deal with the issues, and gave this speaker to my boyfriend, because I was really unhappy with the sound quality of the Jesbod J16. The sound is very hollow and unclear, all of the music blends together into one noise with a digital-sounding voice singing overtop of it all. The volume controls also bothered me quite a lot, they do the opposite of every speaker I've ever owned (short push to change the song, long push to change volume.) I always wanted to short push for volume and changed my song in the middle of it. Having to hold down the button for volume also makes it difficult to find the volume I'm looking for. But, boyfriend was happy with it so I was happy with it for about a week... until the screaming started.The pause button is possessed. We were listening to music, he pressed the pause button, and the sleeping demon awoke. The speaker started SCREECHING at a volume louder than we could ever get music to play and would. not. stop. It took 10 minutes of frantic searching to find the reset button, and push it, to stop the nightmare. After the first time, we thought we were safe. Oh, were we wrong. Every time the pause button is pressed, the screeching starts again. I'm not sure what spirits we angered by trying to pause our music but I don't want to step on their toes anymore than I already have.tldr; poor sound quality, annoying buttons, possessed by demons, buy the Photive Hydra instead

THis Bluetooth speaker is very worth the price. I purchased for my dad who do Tai Ji every day outdoor. Now he has this new speaker when he practice his Tai Ji! I like the design that silicon cover and protect the speaker from being damaged.

The media could not be loaded.  Low volume for music with a pretty limited range. Stopped working within the first 30 mins of use. Music stopped and it was stuck playing a high pitch (ironically the one time it was loud) buzzing/squeal. We couldn't turn it off so we wrapped it in our towels to drown out the noise and just lived with the annoyance for the rest of the day at the beach and ride home. Get a better brand would be my recommendation.

Stopped working after a week. I have yet to hear back from JESBOT Support.

I received it. Then charged it. It didn't initiate. The blue tooth light never blinked and did not allow me to pair with my phone. I will be returning it. I will buy another one. I am hoping I will have better luck with the next one. I will write another review when I get the next one.

I order a lot from this company and they do have great Customer service, and I haven't contacted them on this product as I just contacted them on another product I purchased. I guess I get tired of the product quality control being a bit lacking.... anyway, this speaker doesn't get enough volume to make it useful. I bought it to use while I'm in my yard. It isn't possible to hear past 8 feet or so. Basically my phone can do that so I am not fond of this product. I will probably have to purchase a different speaker for my purpose. So in short, it connected well, it looks good, is weatherproof, but doesn't get loud.
