As soon as I got it I was drunk and threw the part in as I had the old one out and it worked immediately, the car before had NO crank or start at all and now she starts every time so far, very happy with purchase, maybing being drunk fixed it but I got her done and she runs amazing m, I love you.

Drop in Replacement and Fixed the Issue
There's not much to tell here - 2011 Ford Escape was having some real issues with starting. Initially the key had to be flipped over a certain way, then pressure had to be applied in a particular way with the key flipped a certain way, and then it became a matter of having to use A LOT of direct pressure inward in order to get the car to start.After doing some research online and finding that this is apparently a pretty common issue, I ordered this part. It is virtually identical to the OEM part that it replaced. For reference, just google "Ford Escape ignition switch replacement" and you'll get a number of tutorial videos showing how to remove the cowling around the steering column, and then how to remove and install the new part.The whole process took about 10 minutes, and it's a 100% fix for the issue. The car starts just like it should no matter how the key is inserted. I wish I had known about how easy this fix was going to be sooner.
