Very good balancer, low consumption and works perfectly

Does what it says.Used the 16s board on a 16s LiFePO4 pack.This comes as a bare board with tinned wire harness, some prep is needed for it to fit your application.Added four stick on 40mm heatsinks to the capacitors as others have shown under heavy load they can fail. Moving ~5amps through a little can adds a lot of heat.Crimped on all the eyelets and heat shrink the connections.Used a rectangle of lexan to isolate and mount the board.Plugged it in, and off it went. Don't be surprised if you get a little pop when you plug it in for the first time.My Seplos 10E BMS only has a passive balancer and did a pretty terrible job on this 14.5kwh LiFePO4 pack. The top balance would always end up with 100-200mV of difference, and take DAYS to balance. I did one full cycle of the pack with this balancer attached and all cells were within 3mV of each other at end of first charge. Absolutely no comparison.Only wish list item is having some kind of indication it's doing work. It has a power light, but nothing to say if it's idle or moving juice around. But hey, it does it's job right.

I built several lithium iron phosphate batteries. They range from 4 cells (12v) to 8 cells (24v). I have now put these on each one. All my BMS balance the batteries when they are charging. My best ones will balance after they are fully charged but they do it with bleeding off voltage from the highest. This unit pulls from the highest voltage and pumps it to the lowest. This is efficient and doesn't waste energy. All BMS's should have these. Maybe some do off the shelf. I recommend turning off the balancing after full charge and using this instead. I did leave balancing while charging but you shouldn't have to .

Bought some 200AH LIFEPO4 drop in batteries (non-smart) and had issues reaching above 13.8v during charge, with more than half of them... I had some suspicions one cell or more were reaching 3.65v before the rest. They still pulled capacity so support wasn't much help.After cracking one open, I confirmed the imbalance. This balancer worked perfectly, and was able to sort out the imbalance in a few hours of on/off tinkering. Just make sure you wire it up right. I'm cautious so I monitor that no cell goes over 3.65v (LIFEPO4) and let it get to work.Now I can charge to the proper 14.2-14.6v on these batteries. Many cheap drop in batteries have a BMS that either doesn't balance, or if it does, it's at a pathetic rate of 30ma or so.This seems to be good quality including the case and 18awg balance leads. Highly recommend this active balancer with case!Only wished they also included a small wiring diagram in box. Saved screenshot from Amazon, so wasn't an issue, but it's my only complaint.

So far the product has been good and it allows me to fully change my 48v 16s lipo4 battery.Even with a jk bms 2a active balancer I had 2 cells that was reaching fully charged way before the rest of the cells.My only complaint is the short leads. And it the only mounting option is on top of the battery.The short leads also made installing a pain as to not short any connections on the battery.To over come this I used Styrofoam packaging material to stuff the ring terminals into for insulation she this allowed me to work one wire at a time without shorting my battery.I also had to use insulation board to sit the device on and run the wires through it.Again, it's working perfectly and keeps my cells within 0.002 volts from each other. My only complaint i abs the reason for not giving 5 stars is the short leads.

I really like this active equalizer board. Keeps the cells within 1mv of each other. Using it with a 100 AH battery. This does not have a current limiter or over voltage control as a BMS does, But in my case, works better. All I needed was a balance unit and this one is just what I was looking for.

These are the way to go for balancing battery packs over 10ah.

I bought some low priced 100ah lifepo4 batteries that the manufacturer bottom balanced. I attempted a top balance on them but after two days of messing around and waiting it still wasn't good enough to charge the packs above 14 volts without the bms cutting off due to runner cells.I installed these and then let them do their thing while charging the packs gently (1.5 amps then constant voltage) to 13.65v in parallel. The next morning all cells were equal and the current had dropped to under 100ma so I set my charger to 14.6v at 2 amps and both packs hit 14.6v before cutting off at nearly the same time.I've left the leads connected and will periodically connect them while charging from solar to maintain top balance. I don't want these balancing at lower states of charge because that will undo the balancing it did at the top end.One other thing I think is important to note is that the voltage of the cell (especially with lifepo4) is a terrible indicator of the state of charge. This board balances voltages only so adding a little charge current while they work allows the cells to slowly fill and have their voltages balanced by taking energy from the runner cells and giving it to the lower cells until they catch up.
