Great tool for any Knife Job!
I grew up in the North Woods of Minnesota. Dad was a Naturalist. Born 200 years to late. Lol! We lived in a two story house that Dad Built. NO running water. NO electricity. Grew food. Raised food. Hunted, fished. This is the kind of knife you need for that type of life. Full solid handle, Thick steel, Full blade through handle, Sharp as heck! Very pleased! (My old knife will now be retired. :-)) Thank you.

First, Know What You're Buying ....
If you looked at the negative reviews first then it's quite likely they didn't know what they were buying or totally abused it without thinking. Please understand this knife is priced low for a reason..... The blade is 3CR13 which is a much cheaper grade of stainless steel. However, that's to be expected at this price but it's not a bad thing if you know that from the start. It "is" full tang like you always want in a sheath knife. I can't testify that the handle is actually rosewood but it is actually wood. Yes, it is made in China..... If you don't abuse this knife it will perform well for you. The blade will have to be sharpened more often because of it's being 3CR13..... I personally think anyone that splits wood with a knife (batoning) is just showing their stupidity regardless of how many years they've gotten away with it. That's what the Ax, Hatchet and hand saw are for. Yes, I'm biased because I grew up; during a time when there weren't home computers or all this prepper junk around today. I was trained by mentors who were men with actual experience. I learned that your knife is a critical tool that can save your life and is never to be abused but well cared for..... This is the second one I've purchased. The first one was for me to test personally. This one will actually be given to an individual that I am now personally mentoring. He can buy whatever he wants later. He knows he has to show me he knows how to use and take care of a lesser quality knife first. (I still use a great sheath knife I purchased in the early 60's and it has served me well.)

A great fixed blade for around $20
Lemme tell you what this is a 5 star knife for 20 bucks. Came sharp outta the box, and feels good in the hand. Thick steel and full tang should be very durable. I’ve chopped down a bunch of pepper trees, and chopped back a bunch of palm fronds with this knife no problem. It batons well too. I use it to baton hardwood for my bbq grill. Ive buggered the edge several times hitting it on concrete while doing this , and it touches up pretty easily. Sometimes I’ll walk my dog wearing this, because why not? Wouldn’t hesitate to take it camping, I already know from using it around my property that it would be an excellent camp knife. A good knife doesn’t need to be expensive, as evidenced here. Hasn’t shown any sign of rust, and overall just a great knife for the price. The only complaint I have is the upper leather keeper is kinda loose so I just leave it undone. No matter what knives you have, do yourself a favor and practice sharpening them

Pleasantly Surprised
Let me start by saying this blade arrived yesterday, and I haven't used it much yet. I plan to see if it's suitable for what I bought it for this week. I'll get the small nit-picking out of the way first. Having little previous experienced with polished wooden handles I was surprised at how slick the grip is. I bought it mainly for working around the house on saplings, weeds, and kudzu ( Damn I hate that stuff ). The grip was much improved by wrapping some cloth tape around the wooden scales. It would fit my hand better if the scales were a little thicker. Although I'm not a fan of lanyards I'd appreciate a lanyard hole on this knife, but for now the tape will suffice. The sheath is my other gripe. It's just flimsy and I doubt it will function for long. I own another Mossy Oak fixie and the sheath is of significantly higher quality. Now the good. When I took it out of the package it was hair shaving sharp. That surprised me. I took it outside this afternoon and did some light work on kudzu, honeysuckle, grapevine, very small tree limbs, and some dead limbs of about 1 1/2'' on some shrubery. It worked fine. I wish it was a little heftier and longer, but the blade handled that light work with no issues. Sprayed some WD 40 on it and wiped it off and it's still hair shaving sharp! I'm happy with the results of that little test. We'll see how it fares with a little heavier work this week.Being subjective here, but to my eyes it's an attractive blade. I've always admired the lines of bowies and this one looks really nice. The fit and finish are good on mine. The blade has a fairly beefy width and isn't too shiny. It's full tang and I haven't found any troubling hot spots yet. The steel would be a little thicker in a perfect world, but should hold up well to what I bought it for. The brass bolster and tail piece are nice accents. I'm pleased with the purchase right now.So we'll put her to work and she how she does. If she holds up well overall, holds a good edge for a reasonable time, and isn't too difficult to sharpen then I'll probably buy another and find a better sheath for this one. If she meets that criteria I'll rate her a 5 star rating. Right know, I'd give this blade a 4 1/2 if I could. Thanks!

Great Work Knife for the Price!
Great work knife, especially for the price. I might even order another one, just in case they stop making them.
