The only stuff I use
The only stuff I use that is compatible with current refrigerant. I have used this for years and it has not let me down. I use it mainly for threaded connections to filters and for mini split threaded connections.

It really works!
I use this product on my central air conditioning high-pressure line when I added a filter dryer just outside of the evaporator coil and I was kind of figuring in my mind that it was probably going to leak, but it did not have any leaks at all. This is pretty good stuff, and it was not expensive. Very satisfied!

Standard in HVAC work
Not sure exactly what it is (thick oil, silicone grease?) but HVAC techs swear by it so bought it. I think it works by helping the two metal surfaces of a flare slide and align as you tighten the nut. May also permanently fill micro-gaps in the metal surfaces since feels a bit gummy, at least to contain current refrigerants and oil.

Seams to ease tightening
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wanted extra protection for better flare seal to prevent A/C gas leaks.

It's clear not blue
I was shocked when it was clear not blue. So I "asked Rufus" what color it is supposed to be. Rufus said it is blue so I thought maybe I got a bad batch. Well Rufus is wrong, it is actually clear.

Works as advertised
Helped seal the flares of my new lineset after having to move my mini split AC. Was recommended in all of the videos I watched in order to do this job myself

Mini split necessity
Installed a couple mini splits and used this stuff. I didn't have any leaks so I guess this works. Note that I cut the original flares off first, put brand new flares, then use this product.
