C-Thru Ruler Clear Plastic Grid Rulers 18 in.

Works great. No issues with the markings coming off, even after several cleanings with rubbing alcohol. The the ruler is so well designed that it has now become my favorite ruler. I have bought several and love them.

Really good ruler. Great for using as a straight edge. Since it's clear, make it easy to line up using the grid pattern for square cuts. The measure marks are difficult to tell between 1/16th & 1/8th and some time confusing. I've had it for over a year and can't get use to the measurement ruler but love using it as a straight edge. Wish they would make the scale easier to read. Would buy again. If they made this in a 24" or 36" I would definitely buy it.

...but whose fault is that? (-: Still very helpful with sewing projects, the clear grid being sturdy and convenient. Recommended.

I first purchased this ruler in 1985 in college. Loved it for years and years and used it for everything. Kids used it for everything. Now kids still have it! I am so glad it is still available. I haven't used my new one, but just having it gives me a warm fuzzy.I love the centering marks, the steel edge for trimming, the precise markings, the excellent clarity, and the fact that it is 18" long.

Bought this in March and not even 2 months later the grid and numbers are rubbed off. Also a little disappointing in the price of this that the metal is only on one edge and not both.

As a ruler it works well. The marks are difficult to read with some backgrounds but that is to be expected. My biggest issue with this is the metal edge. The metal strip is not completely attached to the plastic ruler; this results in a cutting edge that isn't perfectly straight.

Someone recommended a C-Thru brand ruler, so I bought this. Despite the title of the product, the maker, and picture all saying C-thru, this is Westcott brand, apparently Acme bought C-Thru and Acme sells Westcott rulers. I'm not sure if the ruler is the exact same, it might be - but I was disappointed to not get what was pictured. It's like if you ordered a Ford, and they said "Ford Truck by Ford" with a picture of a Ford, but you got a Tundra because Toyota just bought Ford. Not the end of the world, but you have to trust the picture and description, and this one needs an update.

Just what I was looking for. The ability to see through the ruler and have the metal edge is a combination I had needed recently and this is just what I needed. Also for me 18" is just right for current projects but I have a feeling in the future not only will I be getting others with this same style (triangles, squares, etc) but also more of the same. Granted I shouldn't need it as I expect this to last for a long time, but I think it will always be good to have one around.
