Q: Do the two ends clip together? If they do I will buy them.

The ends do not clip together. You lift the end of the mattress and fasten the ends to 2 sides of the sheet and the the elastic holds the sheet tight. We have experienced no problems after months of use.

Q: Are the sliding buckles metal or plastic?

They're metal, but they don't hold onto the material very well at all. It takes very little tension to pull them apart. My purchase was a waste of money.

Q: I have a recliner....does it work with that?

Measure the distance between the edges of your slip cover when its on the recliner and if your measurement falls within the 20" to 78" range, they should work.

Q: How long is the unstretched length of the strap at its minimum and also its unstretched maximum?

Just what it says - I use mine on my queen sheets and on my air mattress to keep the sheets on.
