Amazingly efficient..
When our previous rotary grater broke after many years of service, I spent some time on Amazon finding a replacement. Ours always worked well. We really only used our old grater for hard cheese like Parmesan, but it did that very well.. Anyway, back to new grater, this new grater runs circles around our old grater. Basically a good size soup bowl full of finely grated parmesan in about 3-4 mins completely effortlessly. The stainless grater drum is razor sharp so be careful. We love ours.

Easy to use and clean.
This unit is nice and compact and easy to use. It shreds Parmesan cheese very fast. Tear down for cleaning is really easy. I think it’s a good value. I would recommend this product.

Not great (grate?) for soft cheeses
While deserving of its reputation (an America's Test Kitchen recommendation) and is great for hard cheeses, this is a near-disaster for soft cheeses. Tried it on a block of Kraft mozzarella and it quickly clogged up the drum -- revealing just how difficult it can be to clean the drum. The IKEA UPPFYLLD was a much better solution for me. The grater "guts" are a cylinder, open at both ends. The Zyliss "guts" are open only on one end. When it comes to clean up, the IKEA design is radically better. The IKEA comes with two cylinders: The one with small holes does nearly as good a job as the Zyliss with hard cheeses; the one with large holes grated mozzarella with ease. The Zyliss' crank screws into the drum and tends to tighten as it is used. That's a plus -- until you want to take it apart. The IKEA has a locking end cap which was easy to remove. The Zyliss feels more robust, but the IKEA seems like it will have no problem holding up to home kitchen use.

Hard to get clean after use.
Works well enough, but the drum is a pain to get clean after use. It takes a lot of fiddling with a pointy tool (bamboo skewer is what I use) to get any bits of leftover cheese out of the nooks and crannies of the back of the drum.
