But, rest assured you will still benefit from the great precision of the Microsoft Pen. • The Microsoft Pen is already awesome. Why do I need OneStylus Fusion? There are many benefits to adding OneStylus Fusion to your pen. o You will only need a single stylus (or shall we say OneStylus) for multiple devices, while keeping the excellent precision of the Microsoft Pen when using it on your Surface Pro 3. o With OneStylus you can scroll in Internet Browsers, MS Word, etc. (In contrast, the standard function of Microsoft Pen is 'select mode' which is frustrating for many). o Use your Pen with any touch device such as your phone or another tablet. o The OneNote button is precision machined high quality anodized aluminum. It looks nice and is durable. (The original button on the Microsoft Pen is plastic and will eventually break) o In general, using a stylus is healthier for your hands. There are new reports showing that repetitive touch is causing painful medical conditions and in some cases surgery is required to address the problems. The OneStylus provides the appropriate battery connection to allow its native features to work properly. With one exception… Fusion replaces the button on the top of the pen which is used for launching OneNote and photo snapshots. • I use the OneNote button on my pen. Will it still work? The OneNote button will be detached from your pen. If you really like that button, the OneStylus may not be for you. That said, the button will still function even while detached, so you carry it with you to use as a separate accessory – sort of like a camera remote. Most people just store it away and never use it again. • The OneNote button is required to connect the pen to Bluetooth, so how can the pen still work if the button is removed? Excellent question. Most users don't realize it, but the Bluetooth connection is only required for the button. The pen works without Bluetooth and without the button. • Can the OneStylus tip be replaced? You bet! In fact, many of the retail tips available through Amazon and others are compatible as long as you buy the same size. We sell replacements too.
