Wigwam The Ice F7215 Sock

Theses socks are very thick and very warm, but they are unbearably itchy. I doubt these are made with Merino wool, which from my experience is not itchy at all. They are really warm, but they are so thick I can't wear my slippers with them.I will stick to Smartwool for warmth and Darn Tough for comfort. I have tried quite a few other brands in hope of finding something a bit less expensive and just as good. No luck yet. This one sure is not it.

Cold feet and toes are something I've always dealt with in the winter. These are easily the warmest socks I've ever worn. Not just warm but insulating against wind in particular. I wear these under my boots or sneakers while riding my bike and they do an amazing job keeping my toes warm in the wind and cold. They're the only socks I don't have to layer with. I have size 13 feet and these socks were a little generous in size, which is nice they don't skimp on material! Will buy more pairs asap.

Factoring in construction, percentage of the product that actually is wool, and price, I am very happy with these socks. They are much thicker than I expected them to be. The picture depicts a sock that, on estimation, may be about medium-weight and thickness, but in actuality this sock is heavy-weight all around. There is plenty of cushion and regulation of body temperature, and these socks are going to be first in line on my cold-weather gear list when weather turns cold again. I predict that they will hold up well, and will write back with more details once I have actively used them.

I bought these to keep my feet warm. I work in a steel fab shop that gets very cold. I needed something for my feet. I did a lot of research and kept coming back to these. They keep my feet very warm and comfortable. Would recommend to anybody. The only minor con of this sock is they're very thick. You'll need to adjust your boots to accommodate the extra thick sock.

Use them for "winter bicycle riding" if the temps are 32F or above (road and off-road)... thick, warm, cushy. Any colder and I have to switch to "snow boots"BTW - I now ride platform pedals with thin biker touring Pearl Izumi shoes and my feet and fingers tend to run cold so have to be sure my feet and hands stay warm and these socks really help.

These socks are ginormous. Seriously, they’re the largest pair of socks I’ve ever laid eyes upon. You would think socks of this mammoth size would surely provide a great deal of warmth, but I’ve found myself having to wear a pair underneath them to get the warmth I desire. They are way too large and don’t fit comfortably in any of the shoes I own. They’re basically only good for wearing in lieu of slippers, except for the fact that they are made of a very scratchy/itchy material and have a tendency to slide. I’ve tried a few socks in a similar price range and style and these performed the worst by far. Don’t make the same mistake I did, look elsewhere.

I searched for the warmest woolen socks and I think I found them. They are VERY thick so don’t count on them fitting into footwear you normally wear with regular socks. I got them to wear for sleeping outdoors on cold nights without a restrictive sleeping bag.

These socks are great!! They do not overheat my feet but keep them warm and comfortable! They do run big. I wear an 11 women’s shoe and ordered a large. I probably could have gotten by with a medium but kind of like the extra room. They are definitely a bigger cold weather boot sock so if you don’t have extra room in your boots they may not be a good match. They fit better inside my boots if I have them pulled all the way up and not cuffed over on the tops.
