I watched a YouTube video of a guy replacing a battery on a Bissell. This battery works perfectly. The only thing I wasn’t able to do is fit the red light through the hole. But the Bissell is working again.

We love the Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo Rechargeable Carpet Sweeper, even though it became worthless after less than 4 years because the battery died. They are relatively inexpensive so we just bought a new one and once it arrived, I went about replacing the battery in the old. I found this through a Google search. It lived up to its word. It is an exact replacement for the internal rechargeable battery.Replacing it was relatively easy if you're a bit handy. You need a long thin phillips screw driver. Pull it apart. Pay attention to how the belts are aligned. One trick is that there is an internal switch that needs to be closed for the motor to work, not the on/off for use. Not sure how it was closed, maybe I lost a part when I opened it, but after some troubleshooting I found out why it wasn't working and I just used tape to close the switch.My old Turbo Sweeper works like brand new with this replacement battery. I'm using it in the garage and found that it picks up big stuff too. It's a champ.If you're comfortable taking things apart a bit (not a lot, but a bit), you can do this and this battery does the trick.

Replacing the battery was tedious. However, once completed, I have been so pleased with the battery still going on the first charge. I use this almost daily on the hard floors and also use it on the wool runners and to reach under beds and spots that regular vacuum cleaners cannot.
