Nice, but...
This little machine is compact and elegant, but slow and an awkward size. I was told the solid-state feature would compensate for the limited RAM...does not appear to be so. It does not keep up with my fairly low-average usage (e-mail, shopping, bill-paying, and the occasional spreadsheet or creative project. The keys are close, and the display is so small that it is hard to place a cursor, or a finger, precisely. This results in a lot of mis-keys, arrow-backs, and other frustrations. The keyboard is also not back-lit, so all in all, eyestrain is inevitable. That being said, it performs in every mode, and the screen resolution is excellent. I am giving it four stars because I think the problem is that I chose poorly. The next size up has more RAM and its slightly larger screen and keyboard sizes would have made it a better choice for me.

A nice and elegant laptop
A nice and elegant laptop! Love this color and the touch screen. However, the touchpad sometimes doesn't work really well and the arrow couldn't be found. I have to close the screen and open it to make it work again.

Great Buy!
Was looking around for a laptop that wasn't too expensive and would be great for term papers and the occasional Netflix binge on campus. So far this doesn't disappoint! I bought this and upgraded with the Crucial 8GB RAM right off the bat, starts up flawlessly! Will come back to review as time goes on.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!
REALLY WISH THEY HAD ZERO STARS. Do not buy this. I have had mine a little over a year. I upgraded to 8GB memory, added an SSD. And the keyboard stopped working. The keyboard is welded to the top with plastic rivets. The only way to replace the keyboard safely is to replace the whole top. Check the dell forums, dead keyboards are very common with this series. It would cost $150 to replace a keyboard (if you can find one) on a computer that now is worth, at most $250.
