While on an expedition in search of the African Loch Ness Monster, a team of explorers happen upon a Jurassic world that is inhabited by creatures which civilization has thought extinct for millions of years. These carnivorous dinosaurs prove to be territorial and more clever than expected in choosing their prey.

The Blair Witch project meets a low-production of Jurassic Park
I'm giving this movie three stars because the story line isn't bad (one star for effort), the acting isn't horrible (another star for effort) and you actually get to see some dinosaurs up close (although only small ones, but another star for effort as the special effects are not bad). The annoying thing (for people like me who don't like that kind of filming technique) is the forever moving/shaking cameras with regular blackouts and filming of foliage, raging water bubbles, the ground, i.e. anything BUT the characters or what's going on.The concept is that you see what's happening from the perspective of the person holding his camera at the time (never the same person). When they run, you see nothing but shaky foliage. When they fall into water, you see nothing but raging water bubbles. When they lose wi-fi, the screen goes black. And all that happens A LOT throughout the movie. So you rarely see what's actually going on. You're guessing as the characters flee through the jungle/river with their camera attached yo their arms.Another annoying thing (to me) is that [when you rent the movie] the list of actors/characters stays at the bottom of the screen. I spent a long time trying to make it go away, that is until I realized that the actor boxes disappeared (by themselves) one by one as their characters either died or disappeared on screen (to probably die alone). Spoiler: At the end of the movie, there's only one actor box left, which ultimately disappears too. What it means is left to your imagination. So if you have 1.5 hours to lose and you like the "found footage" kind of film, then give it a try. But if you're like me, just spare yourself the pain (and the blackouts).

Found footage style of dinosaur vs humans movie
The Dad is a renowned adventurer film maker with a rough and tough big ego who really doesn't give other people credit where credit is due, including his own son. He also has a rather disgruntled partner who never gets any credit and he is holding a grudge. His teenage son, however, is brilliant, but isn't given the time of day by his father who is too busy to see or hear anything good in his son. What does the teenager want? He wants to be with his Dad, especially on this trip that Dad is about to take into jungle somewhere in Africa. I think the Congo -- which is known for still having dinosaurs of specific species. So they are going to the jungle and the son managed to sneak on board the helicopters cargo area.Does the helicopter crash and the pilot die? Of course. Did it crash where the team of people were headed for their Dinosaur Project? Not exactly. They were supposed to be taken to a "safe area" to look for and film a Nessy-type creature.Within a few hours after arrival, they are attacked by flying dinosaurs and many babies. The beautiful blonde doctor gets eaten while everyone else flees. The son cares. Dad's just pragmatic and wants to move along. (I'm already wanting him to be eaten by a dino.)Dinosaur stuff happens and the son makes friends with one of the cubs, which helps save his life later in the movie.Um... dinosaur stuff happens and I don't want to give any other info away about the story line.I thought it was one of the best "found footage" genre that I have seen during these past two years. You can consider this a family film. There are heroes, villains, family love, and true friends. There is NO nudity, foul language, slasher, blood and guts, etc. in the movie. Basically, Dinosaur vs Humans moments are left to your imagination, which I prefer over bloody gore and evisceration.Good movie. I recommend it.The CGI was very well done. Kudos!

Found footage type of movie
Let’s start with the positives, as there aren’t too many. The film has some very nice scenery, and the CGI dinosaurs are actually done much better than I would expect. It is a rather inoffensive film, and fortunately not too long. It portrays scientists in not a very good light, with not showing a lot of skill or intelligence. The son of the leader, Luke, stows away on the helicopter on the way to the jungle. That is not going to be probable, since the difference in weight would be readily apparent. Anyway, the copter gets attacked by flying creatures and crashes. They make their way to an abandoned native village, and during the night get attacked, and flee. They happen to flee to where there are boats along the river, and it becomes apparent that even though they left in a huge hurry, they had time to take most of their gear with them. Through the extensive use of small cameras, this movie becomes a “lost footage” type of movie. The acting is not great, few are shown to have a noble streak, and one soon starts to root for the dinosaurs. As the movie progressed, every time I heard the name Luke, I thought of a different film character and who his father was. In other words, my mind wandered. I give the film 3 stars, since it really doesn't deserve two, and the price to watch on Amazon Prime was right.

Great B Flick
I first saw this on Tubi but it was chopped up by commercials. A good movie though. Excellent dinosaur effects and a real good story.

Give it a chance!
I went into this movie with negative reviews in my head that I had read but decided to give it a chance. I liked it. It wasn't fabulous but it was entertaining and I thought the few dinosaurs we did see were terrific; not completely accurate maybe, but well done and very "real" looking. I loved the baby one and would not mind seeing a sequel to show me what happened to the young dino and the boy. I was quite surprised by the ending and liked it. I adore old scifi movies from the 50's forward and I am very happy to have seen this one to add to my collection of fun scifi movies. I look forward to Syfy originals (you know you do too!!!) and I think this fits in with the qualilty of some of the better offerings from that terrific channel. Don't go into it hoping for fantastic, but do get it for fun. I do not feel I wasted my money at all.

The Dinosaur Project (Really good, Low rated, found footage Dinosaur Movie)
The Dinosaur Project is a low budget, found footage style dinosaur film that follows a crew in search for the amazons version of a loch ness monster. However, things go bad and they soon discover dinosaurs. Not to spoil anything that is the basis of the story. I can safely say that I enjoyed this film, the action was good and the effects weren't too bad either. Especially for a low budget film. The dinosaurs are decent and have moved away from the cliched raptor and trex used in every other dinosaur film, which is refreshing for any dinosaur lover. I would recommend this film for any fan of dinosaurs, I will definitely be showing my niece who I have succeeded in making her fascinated with dinosaurs.Pros:- Decent Dinosaur Effects- Brave enough to use other dinosaur species- Some interesting characters- Good action piecesCons:- Some scenes of dialogue.- Green screen effects for locations or effects are noticeable- Not much in terms of story (Survival)However, still a good watch and hopefully see a sequel, one of the few low budget dinosaur films that deserve a sequel. The ending will reveal all.

Cute Dinosaurs
An expedition to find strange creatures in the jungle leads to some surprising discoveries & some not so nice ones.Found footage type film but worth watching even if it is just for the young Dino's.

Really disappointed
It looks like I might have been expecting way too much from this DVD. I had to force myself to watch it all :( In my mind, it is a good story poorly made. There are those out there who will not agree with me, but there you go...

Excellent
For a low budget hand-held film this is excellent. Good fx and good story. A bit of cliché occasionally but generally an entertaining and compelling film.
