very Good 360 camera, but the video stitching is not perfect.Also PC software is awful and till now I was not able to play my 360 videos on the PC.Software need to be updated ASAP

The GoPro HERO8 was as per the post, very good quality, shipped to me without any damage. After 2 year usage I would still recommend it to any one who is looking to buy a modern and a streamline action camera in 2025 on a budget.Overall, it exceeded my expectation as a first time GoPro customer, the battery didn't last long enough so i had to buy another battery, and it has a slight tendency to overheat quickly. Also night time photography and videography is quite bad.Still after all the positives and negatives I would still buy this again if I had to.

Did not find any negative point. Gopro keeps upgrading the firmware and smartphone software. PErfect for a quick edit on the fly, or even professional editing on a PC.Can also be used with insta360 phone app.

Update: We were finally able to bring it to a licensed retailer. They informed us it is defective and not possible to fix. They will replace it with proof of warranty; waiting to hear back from seller on this.We were so excited to get this GoPro Hero8 Black, but now are very disappointed because it does not work. The battery charged initially, and the camera worked for around 20 minutes, but the battery drained and it turned itself off. We struggled to get it to charge again, it eventually did charge but drained completely while the camera was turned off overnight, and now will not charge again. Even having removed the battery and connected to an external power source, the camera will not turn on (with or without the SD card inserted) - so now seems the problem is not only the battery but the camera itself. We have searched for all trouble-shooting advice we can find online through GoPro official website, tech blogs, youtube... we have tried all methods suggested to fix this, but nothing works. It is now useless. Super disappointing. Now contacting the seller to see if it can be exchanged or returned.

I upgraded from Hero 7 to Hero 8 only for 2 reasons. It has 4k linear mode and it has 100 mbs data capture rate. The stabilization works amazing during day time but it sucks during night time.

Pros:1.Compact and easy to set up and use.Good built.2.Very responsive touch screen.3. Premium built and looks really tough built to withstand breaking while falling.Cons:1.Memory stick not included have to but separately, also will not be also to do anything without it.2.Get really heated up when charging while it’s on.3.Battery takes lot of time to charge while it get drained really fast.
