Bed
Bought this for my newly decorated smaller bedroom. It is a comfortable mattress and fits will on my 3/4 bed and is comfortable. I use it on a metal bed with wooden planks

Get the right one!
I was trying to find the equivalent to the child version as my son's is so comfortable. Unfortunately although similar this is much too soft and believed the customer services who recommended this one. . It's not the same and really disappointing as now it's opened there is not much I can do about it. It would help if they reinforced the sides so it has more support as way too soft & bouncy!

Supportive and comfortable
We are very pleased with our purchase of this mattress. It's very comfortable and supportive. I was worried after using a memory foam topper on our old mattress, that I would wake up with hip pain, as I am a side sleeper. I didn't, so I'm very happy. We fully recommend it.

Do not buy! Not a proper mattress for sleeping on every night.
I bought this mattress to replace a memory foam one which was getting uncomfortable. This one arrived dirty and only half wrapped in plastic. It doesn’t have a removable cover so we couldn’t wash it. Put it on the bed and left it to settle. When we tried it out it was like sleeping on a cheap camp bed! Every time you move you hear the springs twang and you can also feel every one. We tried it for a night and in the morning we decided that it was the worst mattress we’ve ever slept on! Contacted Amazon to send it back and it took such an effort with lots of excuses and offers of partial refunds to eventually get them to book a courier. In summary DO NOT BUY as you’ll hate it and have to try and send it back. Very disappointed with the mattress and Amazon CS for not wanting to collect!

Awful quality. Terrible customer service.
After just 8 months the springs are sticking and pinging loudly in the night. So uncomfortable now and suffering from a sore lower back.Contacted Amazon and they refuse to resolve our problem with the defective item. Manufacturer is impossible to get in contact with. AVOID the manufacturer and avoid purchasing a mattress from Amazon.

Solid offering for a cage plus pocket spring mattress with a 5 year guarantee
To start off with, this mattress comes as a roll-up, which I wasn’t expecting given that it is not a full foam mattress. This means it is easier to transport and to get it up an awkward staircase for example - but it is still fairly heavy considering its size.I have not traditionally associated the name Jay-be with mattresses - I would know them more for bed frames and folding beds - we already possess a Jay-be guest bed which has been perfectly decent and reliable. This mattress offers up a couple of interesting and note-worthy attributes, firstly that it doesn’t contain traditional foam or memory foam which are allegedly more eco-harmful in their full product lifecycle - that being said this does still contain polyester (plastic derivative) and is initially wrapped in a plastic sealed bag so it’s not entirely angelic. Unlike traditional foam-based mattresses they tend to have a stronger initial odour which this one doesn’t suffer as much with either. It uses a fairly traditional steel cage spring system for the bulk of the mattress and this is topped-off with different layers of support material including a shallow pocket-spring system to help provide more localised support and comfort. The mattress feels fairly soft to me but there is that underlying strength of the traditional cage, and therefore would be suitable for anyone up to a typical-sized adult. It isn’t as isolating as a more sophisticated or bulky pocket-spring system might be able to offer, but it’s ok.The inclusion of side padding helps to conceal any springs that could stick out along the side that you often see in cheaper mattresses, and the inclusion of side handles is a nod to helping you rotate the mattress ever few weeks (note that it is a one-sided mattress so you don’t need to flip it).Overall, it feels like a pretty reasonable offering for c. £250 for a double (at time of review), and backed-up by a manufacturer’s 5 year guarantee (against defects) that is not bad at all.
