Realistic and Well Structured
What I love most about this review book is that it is very realistic and on topic. When I took the real thing I found many of the questions emphasized in this book on the actual exam. Many students will most likely be taking this test after the AP Bio exam. If so, note that this test covers much different material, namely, taxonomy, human development, etc, topics that weren't that prevalent on the AP exam. Fortunately, this book does a great job reviewing those subject areas. If anything, the only thing I wish would be that this book include a few more practice tests, but I found some more online so it was no problem.

Two Thumbs up From my Two Kids (So I Guess That's Four Thumbs Up?!)
My kids needed these books for a Biology test that they took for the SAT's as 9th graders. It really helped both of them! They took the books with them everywhere and were able to fill in the blanks and use them easily. If you have two children, do not share one book. Get two books.

Has all the info you need…and then some.
This book will definitely help prepare you for the SAT Bio Exam. I took the M exam and got a 790 (bummer--so close to full score, I know) using this book as well as my notes from biology class. That being said, there is over-information. Some of the information in this book is a little bit too detailed for what you probably need to know for the test. Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration details are wonderful, but there was no need to go so in depth on certain topics, for example plant structure (or at least from my practice tests and exam experience I didn't feel the need for so much). Knowing everything in this book will insure a decent performance, but I think I could have redirected my efforts into things more essential to the exam.Despite that complaint, I still think that this is one of the better Bio SAT prep books out there and is a pretty good choice for people who want a book to study for the test.

Good reviews, good score, what more do you need?
I got this for my son - HS Jr. to study for the Bio subject test. Ok, I'm not even sure if he used the thing, because he is taking AP Bio at the same time, and claimed things were similar. He did say he used it, but I can't vouch for how much - he's a lazy a$$ at times. Anyways, he took the SAT subject test 2 weeks before his AP exam, so all studying should be overlapping anyways, and he got a 760! So if it was the book (which at least a little credit must go there), I'll give it a 5-star review, right!?!

Amazing book
When I first took the Biology SAT 2's with only taking AP BIO class, I scored terribly. But, I scored 160 more points after just studying this book for the SAT 2's. I highly recommend.

Barron's SAT Subject Test Biology E/M is the Best!
I have been using Barron's SAT Subject Test Biology E/M for the past 7 years. Most of my students have received 800. I can't be happier than that. And one more thing: The newer edition is always better. I would highly recommend this 4th Edition!

Got an 800 with only this book :)
Got an 800 with only this book, take your time and go through it and it has EVERYTHING. If you waste your time only doing practice tests from several different books and only skim the material, you won't do as well.

The book covers basically a comprehensive set of topics for test takers. The tests are especially challenging! I really suggest students who want to ace the sat biology to give it a shot.
