Beautiful knife, works well
This is my first ceramic knife, and now that I've used it, I'm glad I bought it. However, I can't give it 5 stars because although it is sharp, it's not the fabled ninja-sharp blade that I had hoped for. Reality is, it's just a sharp knife like any made of steel.Having said that, it has qualities that a steel knife does not possess. The primary quality is beauty. This thing is a pleasure to use. It's lovely and it handles wonderfully. Clean-up is easy. The fact that the knife is ceramic--and therefore liable to chip--forces you to take better care of it than you would a steel knife. I believe this forced coddling helps with the mystique that surrounds such cutlery.Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes. Would I buy another one? Yes. But is it the culinary equivalent of a Hattori Hanzo blade? No.

Aesthetically pleasing
This knife is quite beautiful; it's dark blade shines differently depending on the angle of the light. The top of the blade is a true black or charcoal grey, and the edge is machined to a lighter grey. The handle is sturdy, with raised ridges at the thumb grip, and it's pearlescent finish is striking. But more important, the blade is quite sharp, a match for the Kyocera blades that I already own. Based on the price and my two-week experience, this is easily a five star buy.

Blade separates from handle too easily vendor is UNRESPONSIVE.
The Knife is beautiful to look at, very comfortable to work with and sharper than a razor blade. The fact that the handle is above the base of the blade makes it very easy to cut, dice or slice foods without your fingers hitting the cutting board.UPDATE:Have had the knife for about year and a half and the blade is now loose in the handle. Never abused it, always hand washed, never used for chopping… tried to contact seller (MIQQI)but their E-Mail is useless. Gave some as gifts prior to mine separating..I hope the same doesn't happen to them.

Perfect for what I needed!
Now, this isn't the super ultra sharp knife of your dreams, but it is pretty sharp and seems sturdy! I've dropped it a couple times and banged it against stuff and it hasn't knicked or cracked! I'm terrible with babying things, and unless you throw this against concrete, it'll be fine.Slices onions like a dream - no tears! I WILL THINLY SLICE ALL SQUISHY OVER RIPE TOMATOES AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME.I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality/price ratio. I've had this for about six months now and it hasn't dulled a bit. If you suck at sharpening knives, or hate taking them in to get sharpened all of the time, this knife is for you.

Lasted almost a year before my mom chipped part of the blade edge. It's still my knife of choice for all slicing.

super sharp, small chefs knife at a great
compact, super sharp, small chefs knife at a great price BUT after a few weeks of normal use, the handle loosened so the blade rocks up and down a bit while cutting -

chips nd breaks easily
Love the knife, but it broke during the first day of use. I used it to cut a butternut squash. It wasn't that hard of a squash, and yet it broke the teeth off the knife. It would be great on soft items (tomatoes).
