Excellent Value For Money & Easy To Use.
I have just returned to cycling as a means of getting more exercise and out into the countryside. I am a lover of data, so knowing how fast I am riding, average speeds, etc. is fun for me and I wanted to purchase a decent cycle computer without spending the sort of money demanded by the premium brands.I shopped around on Amazon for quite a while before selecting this computer. One of the things that made it stand out from a lot of its competitors is better battery life, and I must say that it has performed as claimed in that area. The computer is nicely presented in a decent box with thoughtful extras such as a spare rubber band for the mount, should one snap. The instruction book is clear and a step up from the usual poor translation into English; it is not perfect, but it can be followed without confusion and guessing what is meant..The XOSS app works well on my iPhone and it is simple to set up the computer. Connecting it to heart rate and cadence sensors was a piece of cake with everything doing exactly what it was supposed to do first time.In use the screen is very clear and easy to read. Synching with the app and Strava is dead easy and always works. My one wish would be a little up and down arrow somewhere on the screen to indicate whether one is currently riding above, or below, the average speed. That is the only thing that I can find to say against the computer and to be fair, it is nit-picking.I recommend this computer as an alternative to the big brands, as it is well made and functions well at a price that is significantly below that of the main rivals.

Perfect for a second computer
This computer has the best screen layout in its price category. Very easy to read, sensibly grouped, also can show power data, long battery life.I'm using it as a secondary display, so I have ALL the basic information constantly in my view, and use the Wahoo Roam for more sophisticated power analysis and navigation. Since all basic info is on the Cycplus, I'm using only these two pages on Wahoo and don't need to include speed etc. into the pages. The Cycplus also works as a backup workout recording device, just in case. I like the feature that it automatically pauses recording when I'm not moving, but doesn't annoy me with notifications.Nevertheless, I wouldn't really recommend it for use as an only device, because it has some issues that don't make life easy: it can not show battery percentage, goes down quickly to 2 marks, then stays there, then shuts down suddenly during ride. I noticed that it records shorter distances and faster velocity than my other devices and Google maps, and it takes AGES to upload files.PRO:- Big screen (a must-have for elderly eyes), numbers are easy to read- Shows heart rate, cadence and power, too- A lot of information in one display- Very long battery life- Perfect as a secondary display with all basic information constantly on screenCON:- Distance/speed deviations- Battery goes flat without warning- Very slow upload of workouts

Value for money amazing battery life
Took it on a test run and I'm very impressed for the price. It's simple to set up and I found my cadence sensor and garmin heart monitor easily. The GPS connects as soon you're outside.I like the gradient feature on the main screen and the live cadence so you can see what you're spinning at.I've linked it to my strava and on my first run I tracked the ride with my garmin watch and the stats where identical. This got absolutely drenched and it was still working and easy to read. One thing I noticed was it paused when I'd stopped at traffic lights (yes some cyclists actually stop and wait) but didn't restart, I had to press the start button again. Would be good if it had the auto stop and start like the expensive ones.Let's see how long it holds up in the cold weather.14hrs battery life. Automatically puts back light on in low light.

Excellent value for money, reliable and easy to use but do buy the optional mounting unit!
I purchased this unit to use on my new battery buggy (disabled person’s scooter) because the powerful, 30 mile range scooter (it’s actually a tricycle that looks like a smaller version of the souped up versions you see being driven by disabled motorbike fans) does not come with a speedometer/odometer. I hesitated to buy it at first because the unit relies on GPS navigation satellites and we have many roadside, overhanging trees here in Bournemouth! However, it soon proved itself to be simple to use and set up. Driving my buggy out of my garage and shutting the up and over door gives the unit a few moment to obtain satellite reception...and it’s always ready for me to drive off. It’s easy to view...even in very bright sunshine and battery life is excellent. I can use it every day and the battery seems to last several weeks between charges and it’s very easy to remove and install. Much to my surprise the unit still works in shopping centres and supermarkets...even though the satellites are screened from the unit. I purchased the (rather expensive but certainly worthwhile) mounting unit so I could position the unit exactly where I wanted it on the handlebars. I thoroughly recommend both the main GPS unit and the mounting attachment. Excellent value for money and a delight to use. Rob Mannion

Fit for short term use
I was really impressed with the product but it stopped tracking speed and time after a couple weeks. Sadly I missed the opportunity to get data on a race.

It works most of the time
I got this for my Dad to see how he got on with a Garmin like device. Unfortunately, it is a bit hit and miss with the GPS, particularly under trees, where as the Garmin tends to pick it up straight away.Don't get me wrong though, for the price compared to my small fortune of Garmin devices, it is does more for your money but it wasn't great.Eventually, I did end up just getting my Dad a Garmin bike computer, which he loves, but it was a good way to get him used to it and to see if he'd like one.
